  2. What's one game that you'd love to see remade/remastered or get a sequel?
  3. Somebody please tell me why Kpop is so fucking popular.
  4. GODDAMMIT MERKABAH IS HERE AND IM GETTING VIETNAM FLASHBACKS TO HIS FIGHT IN APOCALYPSE 201.
  5. I know how much you like Michael Jackson's music so. :3
  6. The Spooky chapter of Conker's Bad Fur Day, despite being more of a parody than anything, still manages to make me shit my pants from time to time. The music (or, at times, lack thereof), atmosphere, and the FUCKING ZOMBIES are spooky(heh) as hell. The Hall of Darkness from Etrian Odyssey IV is a rare case of an RPG making me unnerved. The place is teeming with really tough/annoying/downright aggravating (I'M LOOKING AT YOU YOU MUSKOID FUCKBOYS) enemies. The music and overall atmosphere are also worth noting. The boss of the Ice Temple(forget the exact name, but I know that's not it) from Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess also scared me for...spoileriffic reasons. The Creepy Castle Ballroom from Donkey Kong 64. Holy shit, that music is HORRIFYING. King Jinjo from Banjo-Tooie after he becomes zombified also scared me as a kid. Those empty eyes. Good lord. Nana, the ghost granny from Luigi's Mansion was, as far as I can remember, the ONLY part of that game that explicitly scared me as a kid. And of course, the piano from Super Mario 64. No introduction necessary.
  7. Top ten-ish list: 1. Shin Megami Tensei IV 2. Live A Live 3. Valkyrie Profile And the rest in no particular order: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Sonic Adventure Super Mario 64 Mega Man X5 Pokemon Black Version 2/Pokemon White Version 2 Donkey Kong 64 Banjo-Kazooie
  8. Alright lemme see: >Live A Live (Half turn-based half real-time RPG combat on a tile-based grid. Oh and multiple scenarios, which is tight.) >Valkyrie Profile (Combo-Based RPG action with a whole bunch of characters, not all of which you get to keep.) > Donkey Kong Jungle Beat (PLEASE TELL ME THIS COUNTS ;W;. Action-based platformer in which you use the Gamecube Bongo Drums add-on and either clap your hands or play the drums to grab items, fight enemies, etc. There's also a New Play Control version for the Wii, but eh.) And some others I'm forgetting atm. EDIT: OH MY GOD HOW COULD I FORGET RIVIERA: THE PROMISED LAND. Action-bar based RPG with item/weapon durability, dating sim elements, and item-based leveling. Oh I remember this gem. This and Falsebound Kingdom (Another YGO strategy game with unique gameplay) were the shit when I was like 8.
  9. Would SaGa Frontier still count? Or did the advent of actually competent internet guides kinda change that? 'Cause I love me some SaGa Frontier. Animations are tight af, soundtrack is kickass (Kenji Ito you're a musical genius), and I LOVE the Sparking mechanic. SO. FUCKING. MUCH. <3 #SaGaFrontierHDRemaster/RemakeWhen ...if it doesn't count then uh. I got nothing I guess. *shrugs*
  10. also tristian click hyperlinked words in sig if you haven't already
  11. Last game I played was 7th Dragon III. I haven't finished it yet though so I can't give a proper opinion. So in that case, the last game I finished was Shin Megami Tensei IV Apocalypse. I think it was a damn good game, and love the new features, demons, and improvements (GOD BLESS THE MAPPER APP) they added in. However, I'm honestly not too keen on it from a non-gameplay perspective. It's a bit too Persona/Devil Survivor-esque for a mainline SMT game if you ask me, and I think IV did a lot better in the story department. It's also a bit easier than IV (aside from a select few bosses, ESPECIALLY THE GODDAMN FINAL BOSS), which may or may not be a bad thing considering how frustrating IV could be at times. Overall though, I still prefer IV over Apocalypse, and the former remains my favorite game of all time.

  15. Wait are we talking about games we're playing right now? 'Cause 7th Dragon III is actually kinda alright so far. Exceeded my very low expectations, at least.
