  1. Here we go again :) Rolf (FE10 and 11) Sniper Asset- Speed Flaw- Resistance Weapon- Yewfelle Skills: Bowfaire (Duh!) Strength +2 Counter (Can be learned) Luna (In place for deadeye) Skill +2 Character look: Build- 1 Face- 2 Hair- 5 Color- 14 (Seriously, no green?) Voice- Doesn't matter Capped Stats- HP-80 Str-41 Mag-29 Skl-50 Spd-43 Lck- 47 Def-40 Res-28 Bonus Stats +7 +2 +5 Comments- Bows have never been my choice of weapon in FE. But because of bonus experience, I was finally able to keep an archer leveled with the others. Rolf was the first archer I used from start to finish.
  2. Second character Tinny (FE4) Sage Asset-Speed Flaw-Strength Weapon- Celica's Gale (+5Mt, +15Hit) Skills: Vantage (Lex pairing) Skill +2 Tomefaire Magic +2 Vengeance (In place for Wrath) Character look: Build-2 Face-1 Hair-1 Hair Color-12 Voice-1 Capped Stats- Hp-80 Str-27 Mag-46 Skl-44 Spd-46 Luk-47 Def-30 Res-40 Bonus Stats +7 +2 Comments- Tinny is supposed to have Wrath. But due to the Berserker being a male only class, she is unable to use that skill. Wrath activates with a 100% chance when that character is under half health in FE4. This can't be done in Awakening, so Vengeance will have to take its place with a 92% chance of activation. I would rather you use Tinny instead of Largo, but that choice is entirely up to you.
  3. Well, I'll try my best. Largo (FE9-Path of Radiance) Berserker Asset-Skill Flaw- Defense Weapon- Hector's Axe (mt +5) Skills: Axefaire (In place for colossus) Strength +2 Wrath (Can be learned) Vantage (Can be learned) Skill +2 Character look: Build-3 Face 1 Hair-3 Hair color- 8 Voice-1 Capped Stats- Hp-80 Str-52 Mag-30 Skl-39 Spd-44 Lck-44 Def-33 Res-29 Bonus Stats +7 +2 +2 Comments- He's a powerhouse berserker, made of glass. I really wish Hector's Axe didn't give +2 defense.
  4. That's pretty much how its been for me as well. I've finished the game five times, but I've also started over two times because of child screw ups. My last playthrough came to a halt at chapter 17. I've clocked 286 hours in the game. It still remains as my second favorite FE, but I've simply burned myself out. I've played Awakening longer than any FE. Even after six playthroughs of FE4, I don't think I've even come close to that much time spent on Awakening.
  5. Wow she sucks, went and got killed in the 3rd turn. Restart!
  6. I'm really glad to hear that you gave Awakening a chance despite having a skeptical opinion at the start. I about gave up on one of my favorite games just because I hated the first hour of it. I've put like 250 hours into awakening so far, and I'm still not tired of it. I hope you continue to have fun with it.
  7. I would like to see IS bring back capturing. Just so long as the game doesn't revolve around it.
  8. As stingy as FE5 is with money, thats still too much. Awakening however, I'll take 40! Now there would be some benefits because these were also in FE5. For example, any unit that you are required to take is immune to fatigue which would include your avatar unit and Chrom. I just think that you wouldn't have enough units to play through the game efficiently because most of your better units will have to sit out when you need them. Sure, you can argue that skirmishes might help with fatigue, but I was never able to survive one battle in lunatic mode. Streetpass units match the difficulty you play, so its still not easy to take out the weakest units on higher difficulties. And not everyone has DLC, so its not fair to assume that players have that option. Awakening would be very different if fatigue was in it, but I think the added difficulty would be a turn off for players.
  9. Recently, I've been playing FE- Thracia776 for the second time. One feature that is present in that game but was never used again is the fatigue meter. As much as I hate this feature, I can't ignore the fact that it adds a different way of thinking and thus adds a little more difficulty because it requires the player to use more than 3-5 characters. Personally, I hope IS never brings this feature back to Fire Emblem, but I want to hear what others have to say about this. Do you want fatigue to be used in the next Fire Emblem? Think how much harder those lunatic+ runs would be with this feature. Who's willing to take on this challenge?
  10. If you're not against emulation, I recommend FE4: Genealogy of the Holy War. The one I don't recommend at the moment is FE5: Thracia776. Trust me, its hard.
  11. Someone give this man a medal for not starting over. No matter how much I try, it is impossible for me to move on if a unit dies. You said this is your first fire emblem? How do you like it so far? Are you thinking about playing some of the other games after completing it? Oh and welcome to the forum!
  12. Once I finished my lunatic run of awakening, ive put the game down and haven't picked it back up since August. Instead, I have been playing the older FE games. Im currently getting my ass kicked in FE5 (my least favorite FE). I tend to jump around the series a lot, eventually Awakening will be back.
  13. I bought a 3DS just so I could play this game. I really like Awakening and its still the only game I have for the 3DS. After 5 months of having the system I don't think it was worth the purchase. Its a great game, don't get me wrong. Just have the intention of playing other games on it.
  14. Im voting for Cordelia because I hate Severa. Then again, im almost certain that she will win it. Too bad.
