Considering I dislike all prepromotes (Yes.), then I didn't use him.
I only use him to do backwards stats on him (Which the lowest he can go is a level 6 swordsmaster with 0.70 DEF and 0 RES. <3)

I played FE7 first, then I read about FE6 and looked desperately for the rom and patch, after finally finding it I played the first chapters and it was awesome. It is very similar to FE7, the characters are good, and watching the offspring of FE7 characters as well as old Hector, Eliwood, Marcus and others is great. I really recommend finding the rom, if you do care about ir being illegal blah blah well good for your ethics but, well good luck importing it.

FE6: The Arena hates me.
FE7: Canas hates me.
FE8: My brother hates me since my Eirika maxxed out strength and every other stat except luck (By 2 points) and DEF, while his only maxxed out two stats, and he got 17 Strength.
FE9: It was only bad when I had no idea what the hitrates were (Lol enemy attacking)...and Kieran's level 12 Paladin growths :(.
FE10: Only when I try to speed-run Part 2 Endgame with Haar running straight to Ludveck and some random Thunder mage going "olol hit wiht low pershent."

By far Seth. All the characters in this game don't really have that interesting backgrounds IMO.
Because Seth has an amazing background.

I know Lou is better, but I just can't STAND using him. I have horrid luck with him, he never grows ANY magic for me. Even with supports and Elfire, he just tickles people and it pisses me off.
Lillina however I'm lucky with because she grows plenty of speed. Gonzales and Cecilia give her defense she needs with a nice offense boost, given my lucky speed with her and her naturally amazing luck, and she annihilates. Lou might be more useful, but Lillina I find MUCH more satisfactory.
Too bad Cecilia isn't really the best unit to be using. Gonzales, I agree with, but more so for Gonzales, becuase he NEEDS a Fire Support (Too bad he isn't Fire affinity, himself.) to get more criticals in.
Also, you might just be un-lucky. In my Sacred Stones runthrough, Eirika maxxed out Strength. In my brother's, she got 17 at level 20

Astrid:Axes
Yeah I only used two.
For the ones I didn't use I would think:
Kieran:Swords
Makalov:Lances

You're forgetting Oscar with Bows.
Unless you're not triangle-attacking.

My brother consideres Eliwood as a paladin because he uses Swords and Lances, and he has "similar caps"
So, according to him, use Eliwood. :D.

FE6 is obviously your first Fire Emblem game.
Either that, or you never bothered to support with Pegasus Knights. (I forgot which game and which support has it, but still).
