  1. Hmm... I just found this, made it a couple of months back. Introducing, my shiny new Aerith sprite!

    Aerith2-1.png*Gleam* *Glow*

Here's the old one so you can compare 1-1.png

  2. Okay. So, we have our nice and shiny new FPS of quarter four, Modern Warfare 2, and everyone is having a good time and shooting the bad guys and watching multiplayer videos on your live streaming player of your choice.

Until somebody actually gets to the "No Russian" mission. If you haven't heard of it, then refrain from flaming me with "ZOMG SPOILLERRRZ" because frankly, the secret has been out for a WHILE. So while people like Jack Thompson jizz in their pants, the gaming community continues.

Then the game itself comes out. And everyone goes batshit crazy because it "desensitizes" kids to violence and teaches that its okay to go into your nearest airport and shoot everything up. Never mind the reasons for WHY you do it, which will not be revealed, but because... well... if this is the kind of thing desensitizing teens towards violence, then WHY BUY IT IN THE FIRST PLACE? It's an M rated game and is specifically rated towards a crowd who can HANDLE that sort of thing. But no, retarded parents have to go and get it, then complain about it without mentioning they haven't even researched it before hand.

Another thing: there have been MUCH MUCH MUCH more graphic scenes than "No Russian", and nobody has gone so far to call it desensitizing. Mortal Kombat, Doom, Grand Theft Auto, and Gears of War come to mind. AND THEY'RE ALL RATED M. WHAT A COINCIDENCE.

"But Sedgar, you kill CIVILIANS in this game".

So fucking what? You kill civilians in GTA- at a MUCH more drastic scale might I add- with GRENADES and RPGs. (Not saying it isn't fun; it's sure as shit fun.) That's besides the point. That particular mission is, admittedly, rather lightweight in terms of wholesale slaughter of innocents.

"But Sedgar, you still kill CIVI-"

Oh boo fucking hoo. Then go back to playing GTA, stealing money from that hooker, and being a hypocrite in general. And you know what a cyber hooker and a cyber Russian bystander have in common? THEY BOTH AREN'T REAL ZOMFG

"But Sedgar, it's a part of the campaign mode".

They are nice enough to warn you about it before you even START the damn thing. Can't exactly say the same for other games. Saint's Row 2 is just pure lolness an wtfness.

    --------------

tl;dr- Stop the retards whining about this particular mission so we can keep the peace. Besides, if everyone overreacted like this, then the only things the internet would consist of are internet forums for bitching and 4chan.

    Oh wait

I fucking love the way you think

Thanks. I suppose. Unsure if this was really sarcasm, but I just needed to vent on this idiotic topic.

    Nope. Not sarcasm. :D

  3. Hmhm.

I like the idea of Lyn sending letters. God knows how she got the pictures, though. Heh.

Now, it's good if you can manage classes for everyone, but what about archetypes? Assuming Marth was the only lord (which he's not), I'd go with this:

    Kain/Abel: Mario/Luigi

Jeigan: None. Someone might get cranky. Maybe you could make Mewtwo an Oifaye

Gordon: A tough choice, possibly Fox

    Oguma: Ike

Bord/Cord: Does this fit anyone? Most likely the Ice Climbers

    Navarre: Link?

    Lena: Peach

    Triangle attack trio: Squirtle/Ivysaur/Charizard

    Doga: DK?

    Marich: Ness/Lucas

    Est: Damn. Um... Sonic?

Gato: Same problem as Jeigan. Nobody fits this anyway.

Oh, and have fun with your custom animations.

Umm, those are characters for FE1/3/11. This was an FE7 hack. I should also note that because I don't have a lot of spare time these days, this hack will probably never happen. Some miracle might occur in the future where I find the time and motivation to make a billion custom animations and keep going, but I can't see that happening soon.

Um... I know it's an FE7 hack. Note how I said "archetypes".

Oh! I didnt notice that bit, hehe. I thought you were just listing the characters...

  4. When Sora used the Keyblade Xehanort's Heartless created from the 6 of the seven princesses hearts it released both his and Kairi's hearts, so it technically brought forth two Nobodies, Roxas and Namine, both formed from Sora's body and soul but two different hearts as well.

Yeah, i meant what he said...

  7. It's been more than a month since I last posted something...

Well, new month, new stuff. Here's Tidus and Yuna, from Final Fantasy X. Which I am contributing to Sasuun's hack. (So you need permission from both of us to use it)

    Tidus-1.pngYuna.png

Sheeting is now in progress for Yuna, and I'll start sheeting Tidus once I edit the sword to look like Brotherhood.

Also, you may have noticed that unlike in the game, Tidus is holding his sword with the arm with the gaunlet and red thingy and blue shoulder guard. That is because a myrmidon in FE uses a sword in his left (from his point of view) hand and Tidus uses his sword in his right hand.

Later on, I'll also be doing Lulu, Auron, Jecht, Vincent, Rinoa and a few others.

  8. Riku to the rescue!

These are the instructions I gave Soul1112.

Open your FE7 ROM with Nightmare and load the Custom Battle Animation Editor module. In the first drop down box, select the weapon type you want used, in the case of Mage Knight, 'All Anima/Iron Blade' In the second drop down box, select 'All weapons for a weapon type' and for Animation played, scroll down to A3, where you inserted the Mage Knight's magic attack animation. Just leave the 4th drop down box, it's a seperator. So the order of the boxes is Weapon Type, All Weapons for a weapon type, or a special animation for a certain weapon, Animation played, then a seperator. Repeat what you just did for the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th boxes, but make the 5th drop down box 'All Staves/Silver Sword' and the 7th A4, where you inserted the staff animation. Now, in box 9, select 'Disarmed (required)/Rapier', in box 10 select 'All weapons for a weapon type' and in box 11 select A3. Note that all physical units have a seperate disarmed animation, but magic users just use their magic animation, and simply don't attack .

You're almost done now. See the VERY first drop down box, above 'Weapon Type'? Take note of what that says. For FE7, the first one is 0x8FFF800, and it goes right down to 0x8FFFEF0. Press Enter (on your keyboard ) to apply your changes, and then save. Close this module, but not the ROM. Now open up a module called FE7 Class Editor.

To make sure it's the right one, scroll right to the bottom and check where it says 'Battle Animation Pointer'. If it's a text box, you have the right module. If it's a drop down box, you do not.

Assuming you have the right module, select a class who's animation you would like to change. Let's just say, female mercenary. Because there is no F Merc animation in this game. (Or you can scroll down to the bottom of the class list, there are two empty spaces where you can make custom classes!) In the text box where it says Battle Animation pointer, enter '0x8FFF800'. Hit Enter to apply your changes, then save again. Now whatever class you just edited will have a Mage Knight animation! Yay!

Well, I hope all that helped. Just let me know if you need more help, or if you want me to clear something up. Good luck!

Of course, instead of replacing F merc, or whatever, you will jsut enter 0x8FFF800 into the Female Shaman class's battle animation pointer. And in the custom battle animations module, this is what you need to do for Female Shaman, assuming you inserted it into A3.

    battleanimationmodule.png

Have it set up exactly like that and you'll be right. If I'm not clear on anything, just ask.
