Raven
I've just received this game 2nd hand from eBay for the 360, and it's one of the best and most realistic driving games I have ever played. It goes up a step from the likes of Gran Turismo in the sense that you're capable of damaging your car, which in the longrun can screw with your car during the race, like screw with your steering, etc. and force you to restart. Discuss.
burning_phoneix
Forza 2 had damage reducing the capabilities of cars as well before Race Driver GRID as well as some other games. That's not to say that GRID is a bad game. It's actually quite good.
Raven
I believe the online capabilities adds to the experience. Plus the fact you can right your car off in a realistic manner is actually quite satisfying. Also, the action replay rewinding time thing the game has is a pretty amazing ass-saving feature. Raven
"Right your car off"??? In other words, wreck your car to the point of being unable to continue the race.
burning_phoneix
Yeah, that was in Forza and even Need for Speed Prostreet.
Raven
It didn't do it as well as GRID.
burning_phoneix
Care to explain why? Smashing your car up and being knocked out of the race seems to be the same thing in all three games.
Raven
Indeed it is. But GRID is a great game in itself, with all of the modes and different types of races available. It does it all very well. I didn't make this topic to compare it to other racing games like Fortza and NFS. Make a seperate topic for them.
