Florete
i picked up the game today, ($40?!) and I'm at day 3.Tell me, how long did it take you to beat it, and do how the hell do you controll your partner on the top screen? I just leave her on autopilot... the top is controlled via the control pad. You know, the left, right, up, down buttons, though mainly just left/right. I'd say it took me.....15 hours or so. Metal Rabbit
so, its like a combo from a fighting game, you need to press the right ones in a set order to pull off a move? i can't multitask...

All you really have to do is press right or left a ton of times, depending on where the enemie(s) are, and mainly focus on the bottom. Metal Rabbit
I've given up on trying to control both at once. I can dodge well enough so that I won't get hit much, and I've been trying to up her defense with food so she isn't as much of a casualty. Lol, the irony of "Trust your partner" is lost on me. Metal Rabbit
Merged topics. Too bad there really wont be other needs for this function. Anyway, I'm on Beat Day 5... and I have the feeling I know who the composer is... and I really didn't want it to be true.
Florete
Spoilers following. Major one: The composer is Joshua. Extra space for confusion. . Don't read it if you don't want to know.
Metal Rabbit
Like I said, I have a feeling... and it's probably right. Edit: I read it... and I was wrong o_O Well, I wasn't in a way. I thought it was him in teh first place, but I thought it was Mr. H . I REALLY did. Edited May 10, 2008 by Fourth Fox of Fire holy fuck... That would be a spoiler. Metal Rabbit
Ah, good catch^ And... I can't beat the final boss... and I retried on easy. How pathetic is that?
uguu
I don't have much money so I rented it. I'm on Shiki day 3 and I love it so far. I love it.
uguu
This thread deserves a bump. Talk about the super freakin' awesomeness of it. Also, I finished it yesterday (I was underleveled (level 26) and all my pins except 1 ( Rhyme ) were from the beginning of the game, so I had to level up and get new pins. I eventually succeeded at level 33, kinda a coincidence as the first major major boss (at the end of the first week) I was at level 11). My sister made me let her play it, I let her start a new game. I regret it. But damn, this game's story is simply amazing.
Metal Rabbit
playing through it again all on hard. this time I actually learned how to use my partner!
Serene
It was that good. And it isn't particularly long, though I wouldn't call it short. Okay so it ain't fable short that's good
Metal Rabbit
I'm in Another Day and it is SOOO weird...
Metal Rabbit
*yawn* got all secret reports... beat final boss on hard (incredibly easy at this point) I still have alot to do though.
Admiral "Bull" Halsey
I've seen this game in gametrailer site, doesn't seem appealing to me.
Florete
What's to do after you get all the secret reports?
Metal Rabbit
For ME I have to: -Finish Noise Report -Get All Items -Mater All Pins -Collect Remaining Fusions/Stickers -Build Characters stats to max These are the chores of a completion freak, which I am not. However, I do when it's a game I love, like Tales of Symphonia.
Florete
I'd do that, but this game is too text-heavy.
Metal Rabbit
lol, L/R buttons are your friend ^_^ I don't even pay attention to what I'm doing half the time.
Florete
I know about the L/R buttons, but there is still a ton of text that so even that doesn't always quite do the trick. And then you have the cutscenes.
Metal Rabbit
You're just too impatient ._.
Florete
It's nicer when I can just skip text completely, like in Fire Emblem.
Metal Rabbit
I'm a bit disapointed in a way. I got the Secret Reports so I could beat it again and see a new ending. It didn't explain anaything... in fact it just added to more of the mystery.
Admiral "Bull" Halsey
I am curious as to whats good about this game?
