Could you help me on a problem? i haven't seen much of inverse trigonometric functions before, so i'm a bit confoosed!

1.) Ex: Let g (x )=20+14 Sin(2x ). Which of the following solves g (x )=27?

i've managed to get it to (1/2)=sin(2x), but all answers are in arcsine...

answer choices, if it helps at all:

(1/2) ArcSin(1/2) + π

ArcSin(1/4) + 2π

(1/7) ArcSin(2/3) + 4π

there is no solution

and could you please provide an explanation?

EDIT: Never mind. I already figured it out!

OMG...I remember when I had to do this....I hated it...

Still don't really understand the basic concept.

This. I fucking hate math( at least I did when I was in middle school, then somehow, it got easier as I got older.)

I'm more of a biology and chemistry guy.

I understood how to answer the questions but..there is so much to remember and a lot to practice that...*brain explodes*

Sin2x = 1/2, yeah.

x = 1/2 arcsin 1/2 (solve for x, lol), I have no clue where the + n comes from though. You could always try "there is no solution" because where the +n comes from is beyond me.

It's a relatively easy problem, imo...

EDIT: Oh, it's a pi.

What answer was it :?

answer was (1/2)arcsine(1/2) + pi
