I feel like using Athos is cheating on my other, much more deserving units.

On the Final Chapter, I usually have a few units still in need of experience, so using Athos would defy the point of raising my units against the Morphs.

No, just a question of whether you actually make him attack anything.

I only use Athos because he fights for his friends. Until someone proves otherwise I will always use him/

Athos isn't necessary if you're a vet, but he's still pretty useful, especially with Luna. In fact, it might even be too easy with Athos and Luna.

Well Luna is actually broken in this game. This could be use for your advantage against anyone in the Final Chapter.

You could also have Nils use Fala's Might and just get a crit for a 1 hit KO.

(I was so much bettter at video games then than I am now) I actually tried to beat it on my second playthrough WITHOUT Athos, but, I kept dieing so I decided to use him.I remember my Eliwood sucking horribly...I think I only got him to level 10 or 11 before he promoted.

better than me, I just drop Eliwood like a bad habbit and let him sit in his epic failness. I don't think I've had an Eliwood that's been higher than 4 before promotion

Huh. Eliwood almost always turns out to be one of my best characters, but that's another topic altogether.

Same here. I always use mandatory characters.

I tend to use Athos because hes mandatory for the last chapter and hes not that bad. Besides I tend to never have enough magic users in my army.
