In general, I just stick with Iron for the most part in GBA, unless you're a really heavyset unit, or you could use a steel weapon without much AS (though that part rarely applies to lances and axes outside of the aforementioned circumstance); tomes however, are a different story, due to being forced to use D rank tomes for pretty much the whole game, as anything C rank and above is too heavy to be worth it, odds are. In Tellius, I move up to steel when a unit grows enough to use it with no or negligible AS loss. Uses Jill in the Tellius FEs more than I do. Shadow Mir Posted February 25, 2015 Share Posted February 25, 2015 Knows that aside from Pelleas' jointime, I find his weapon types to doom him (the two most inaccurate magic types, AND a laughably inaccurate SS tome to boot (for [EFF!]'s sake, every other SS tome gets at least 100 accuracy, but Balberith gets... a paltry 75, and it boosts a useless stat too).
