Once upon a time, as stories tend to go, there lived a man whose name was Karl Marx. Marx had a vision, a dream. His dream was of a time when there would be no more class troubles or struggles, when the proletarians (workers) would rise up and strike down the bourgeoisie (owners of the means of production ), and a glorious utopia would overtake the world. But alas, utopia is Greek for "no place" and was used by Sir Thomas Moore as an allegory, and Marx's dream has failed to come true and probably won't ever, as the concept of a perfect world can easily be smashed by but one of the seven deadly sins of man: greed. Oh yes, the green eyed monster, this beast is one of the bigger flaws in Marx's great work called the Communist Manifesto. His argument that the workers of the world will unite against the threat of the wealthy and powerful is painfully naïve. This is due to his strange belief that good portion of greed is a Capitalist invention. "The bourgeoisie, wherever it has got the upper hand, has put an end to all feudal, patriarchal, idyllic relations. It has pitilessly torn asunder the motley feudal ties that bound man to his ‘natural superiors,' and has left remaining no other nexus between man and man than naked self-interest, than callous ‘cash payment.'"
