No actually, the magics that were essentially fire based (as in, did bonus damage to ice enemies) were rather heavy compared to wind. FE2: Fire vs Excalibur. Fire had 3 WT, Ex had 1. Excalibur had more MT. FE3: Fire and Shaver (wind) had 0 WT and equal MT... difference being that Shaver had crit, Fire did not. Bolganone has 15 while Excalibur only has 3. Bolganone has 4 more MT but 70 hit (yeah, it misses) and Excalibur has 100 hit and 30 crit so killing with it was LIKELY. Also take note that the Bolganone user needs 20 SPD to have just 5 freaking AS which hardly doubles much. FE4 didn't unfairly sandbag it... it's more like newer games sandbagged Wind. Wants Chalis.
