Probably. Either way, it's just a consolized PS Vita. No screen, connects to TV via HDMI, and you control it with either a PS3 or PS4 controller.

Wait, so it can be used to play Vita games (and PSP games, by extension) on TV? Is that it?

Confused about the PSTV.

Physical and Digital Vita games and digital PSP games, yes. Though there are a handful of games that aren't enabled to work on it. PS1 classic work too, mostly.

It uses the same game cartridges and memory cards as the Vita.

So... How would I transfer digital games and DLC to a PSTV?

You can connect the device to your PSN account like any other Sony console.

But which wire am I supposed to connect?? it's not the same one from the charger (the one that would plug into a Vita), is it?

Did not just see the myth about cutting onions without crying get called Plausible (but only with lemon juice; freezaing them and chewing gum were both Busted).

What? It comes with its own power cable. Like any other console.

I was talking about connecting a Vita (or PSTV) to a PS3 or PS4.

Oh. Well, you can't. I think you can only transfer content via CMA or whatever. I don't own a PS3 or 4 so I've never needed to.

What the heck is CMA?

Didn't see the movie trope where a good guy out on the top of a skyscraper can tie a rope, jump off, and shoot out a window to land in safely get labeled as plausible.

It's the PS Vita content manager application. On PC, at least. No idea how content transfer from a PS3/4 works, though. Pretty sure you can do it over a shared network, though.
