Fei Mao Posted February 24, 2012 Share Posted February 24, 2012 (edited) My friends' PS3 (the first model that came out) sometimes get red lights of death (Cause they had it for a long time) even if it's repaired by someone who knows what to do, but it does have PS2 backwards capability, I don't know the condition of your friend's PS3 but one of my friend told me that (if its the first model) and it breaks you can send it to Sony and get a slim version instead but no backwards capability.
