The first one bored me though, and I skipped the second game. Good Soluna.

I don't remember any problems with DS, but SJ had a anti-piracy thingy you can actually fix.

Guardian Signs looks good, even though the main characters appearances bother me. >_> I thought the first was okay. Then I got to Onix. Then I got pissed and stopped playing forever. :'3 You sure you don't mean Strange Journey? I don't remember any problems with DS, but SJ had a anti-piracy thingy you can actually fix. No, it's just because I was an idiot and didn't save in the right option, so it's actually my fault in a way. Also, Etrian Odyssey. I was thinking that even before you said it. Nightmare
I wouldn't recommend Dawn of Sorrow and Portrait of Ruin if they're your first entry into the series. Also, Etrian Odyssey. But I second this. Hard.
Original Alear
Oh, another kinda obscure (or so it seems) DS title I would recommend is Lost Magic. You control + level up monsters and use the stylus to draw runes which you use to cast spells. It's not incredible, and some of the bosses can be kind of grating on the soul (heal themselves constantly etc, you need to be quick on debuffs so your monsters can kill them), but it's a cool game overall IMO. Marthur
And TheEnd, you might want to try Soma Bringer. Diablo with animu characters. Very customizable with many options as to how to build your character. Full translation patch (aside from the glossary you'll never use). TheEnd
Can't you enlarge it on no$gba or desmume? I can (well, No$ requires me to actually lower the screen resolution but still), but a bigger 256x192 (or whatever) is still 256x192. I know I refused to play that Lufia II remake specifically because of large polygons in a small res (i.e. a mess with short sight range). Though I guess that's mostly an issue with 3D games. Not enough love for Donkey Kong here. Never played it.

Ar-Wing Pilot
StarFox 64: Suicide Sci-Fi-Extra Run -Expert Mode. -Any damage, at ALL, from a single laser to bumping into something on tank levels, requires full (as in, no checkpoints) restart of level. Ar-Wing Pilot
Not Pilot's Luck. Can't tell ya how many times I did something stupid, slid too far, etc. on Macbeth. Didn't die at all until Sector X. And on Area 6, nearly beat it, and I knew I could beat Venom. But clipped my wing right before the "Venom's right there!"
