It's slightly under 1MB so it won't get scaled. As for my actual wallpaper, he sent me a .tif image. I also have a .png copy of it too. Send it with Minus, that will be a good test for you to see if you like it. It works with and without an account, but you can't keep track of your uploads without an account.
