This is why I'd never make a good housewife. I always break things. Sigh. I'm just lucky it didn't shatter over my feet. Like, when would they be able to work on it? Even just looking at Falcom games, they have Xanadu Next (never), Sen II, and The 3rd lined up. And then there's Ys VIII, which I'm sure they'll start working on sometime soon after its Japanese release. And putting it off too long could hurt its sales. So it kinda makes sense that Falcom would look for other potential localizers. Who knows, maybe Falcom wanted XSEED, but XSEED just couldn't fit it in... In any case, it's not like Tokyo Xanadu is related to the other Xanadu games/Kiseki, despite looking like Sen, so it can't go too wrong, hopefully. Besides, Tokyo Xanadu is also a modern day setting, and seems less serious than the likes of ZE or Kiseki (at least from what little I've played of it), so meh. We'll see.
