And his fight with Vanilla Ice and his Anubis moments were top notch. To be fair, Polnareff got his ass handed a few times before. If only the Anubis sword could've been cleansed or something. He's suddenly a scholar while he was kind of an idiot (a loveable one, though) in part 3. Or maybe he grew wise, who knows. Twelve years passed between part 3 and 5, which means Polnareff's age went from 23 to 35. He definitely did mature a lot. One could say the 50 day trip to Egypt definitely helped that.
