I was just able to browse around because we usually had to go on certain web pages to look up references. The closest I've been to this site while in class was that time I opened up an e-mail containing a recent report. You can see the reports in your e-mail and, funny story... it was the first instance of me opening an SF related e-mail during class and the report linked to a post with a shitton of bad porn posted >_>. Chalis Posted March 7, 2012 Share Posted March 7, 2012 So has anyone picked up Devil Survivor 2 yet/how is it? The first Devil Survivor had better story, pacing, music, and atmosphere. Difficulty is around the same, though you either get used to the new turn base system or you get slaughtered, fast. All actions cause your turn to move back; this is very noticeable when you're surrounded by a mob and you could swear the same demon in front of you had already taken its turn three times already. I don't find the characters as endearing as the first cast but this may just be bias. Most of them feel rather shallow (Airi, Hinako, Keita), and some of them really are just one dimensional (Fumi, Jungo). There are a lot of playable characters many of them available throughout the week. Most of them are pretty useless when you realize you don't want a balanced member, you want the heavy hitters. Of course, favorites can be made good with the right skillset and demon set. There's tons more demons this time around, as well as more family classes and species skills. A bunch of skills too, but they don't matter since end game will always be Holy Dance/Drain spamming to the max. Each ice cream alien boss of the day has its own gimmick which can vary between total bullshit and alright. Oh and there's Evangelion references up the butt as well as fanservice episodes/events that I am very displeased and disappointed in. 悔しい。 Is that everything? Yeah, I think that covers it. Oh wait, ending routes. Um. There's four character routes, one of which has two. So five routes in total. Also it turns out I am doing Chaos for my first playthrough after all, who would'a thunk? personally i can't wait to run back to Overclocked, i miss that game so much after these past few days of nothing but DeSu2. Tangerine Posted March 7, 2012 Share Posted March 7, 2012 At least the gameplay sounds a lot better, might be worth picking up. My biggest problem with DS1 was how few demons there were.
