Most monsters aren't too challenging outside of the few really powerful ones (like the Berserkers I mentionned, who somehow hit harder than bosses and may come in packs/with special attributes), but latency can be an issue (that reminds me, what kind of latency are you getting TheEnd? I'd say my average is around 300 ms), but the game is still loads of fun as you crush your way through hordes of demons, undead and wild beasts. Skills being customizeable is a ton of fun. The followers prove to be interesting with their chitchat and there's a lot of references/nods to the past games of the series. For instance, there's a new mercenary in Act II named Jarulf, who was the pen name of the author of a complete Diablo 1 guide. What I rather dislike about the game is how linear it is. While D2 was still point A to point B with a few extra areas, some areas in D3 are blocked until you finish quests, though there's still a few extra caves for more goodies. I also think they balanced two handed weapons like crap for earlygame, but they might be more useful lategame. Gold is also actually very useful since you need gold to upgrade your merchants and your stash. Mercifully, I think it updates for your entire account rather than for each character, because selling most non-magical items still give you single digit gold in Act 2 which is fairly depressing. I was rather pissed when I died against a pack of Extra Strong, Extra Fast and Cursed Dark Ones as I opened a door and was too slow to click on Exit Game.
