I felt pretty nostalgic and got the Doom series at a cheap price and my sister gave me the Wolf series. I'd complete the whole set with Quake but it's not as cheap. Man dude I only use like a smidgen of magic the only pyromancy I use regularly is combustion (for slimes in the depths) and GREAT CHAOS FIREBALL (because) as far as sorcery goes, Chameleon and Hidden Weapon are gdlk and now this daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaark magic is just so snazzy I did stop around that time too. They're fairly different from one another. 2 and 4 are close but that's about it. 1 feels a bit like Doom with slightly more modern controls.
