Emeraldfox
Well, it's mostly the need to have good management. You'll definitely struggle first time through... like I said, I only know the Toyotomi versions, and it's a bit of bad luck since the first time you're playing them, you can only use the MainCharacter, Yukimura, Kai, and Kunoichi, and the latter three don't get quite enough stages beforehand to farm weapons for them. Especially if you didn't unlocked the 2nd Seige of Ueda so you only have Oshi Castle to use Yukimura while the other two you have no such thing, unless replaying Osaka Winter once you clear it. Still, I actually had to make several attempt to clear Osaka Summer. It's a bit tough. You already have enemy officers inside the castle itself already making their way to Hideyori. Then like about 3 more enemy officers are engaging allied officers across the Wards, and the areas within the Wards are actually a Low-Intensity Enemy Morale zone, meaning they're powered up a bit, and that's where you start even! Unlike other stages were you mostly start in Neutral Morale zones. And don't get me started on the objectives. First you must defeat 5 officers without loosing any in return. Then you need to lure Masamune and Muneshige to the southwest corner of the Tertiary Ward. If you do the gates will close, trapping any character you had there and the doors won't unlock until you defeat the two. Then you need to defeat Kanetsugu before Katsunaga Mouri gets defeated. Afterwards Magoichi and Keiji will appear on both ends of the Secondary Ward and need to defeat them before they enter the castle. Then defeat 5 Chief Engineers in two minutes who are spread out across the wards and within the castle. If you fail the castle gets set on fire, with Hideyori still inside, though thankfully his AI will make him get out. If you do prevent the fire, then you need to escort Hideyori to an Escape Point, and things get more manageable since only Hanzo will appear to stop him, unlike if you let the castle get set on fire in which case it's Hanzo and two other officers. Then you need to defeat Hidetada Tokugawa within a minute, and finally you can storm Ieyasu's main camp. Though if you ask me, things can get interesting if you do certain things. I haven't seen this personally, but if you let the castle get set on fire and defeat the engineers after, you can trigger Kanetsugu as an ally with an objective of him and Yukimura storming Ieyasu's camp. Or if you defeat all officers but Hidetada and Ieyasu without the castle on fire, after you defeat Hidetada, Masanobu Honda, Tadaoki Hosokawa, Nagamasa Kuroda, and Ina will appear to defend the main camp and need to defeat all four to open the gates. I actually triggered the latter sequence and thought it to be quite cool, made enduring the whole stage quite worth it. Though I still didn't like having to do several tries... at least it wasn't Sekigahara Western Army side, haha... I see. That sounds painful, yet fun at the same time. All of it. Acacia Sgt
Oh well, once you clear it once it's not so tedious afterwards since you can keep leveling up and use other characters. Meanwhile, something I've found enjoying are the Spotpass Stages. I've only played one so far: "Trouble in the Capital", and it was so funny. lol It's essentially Okuni, Keiji, Kanetsugu and the MainCharacter versus Yoshimoto in what essentially amounts to "Musical Troupe versus Kemari Troupe", all since the latter lost a Kemari ball that Keiji had all along, with drunk!Masanori, Mitsunari, Kiyomasa, Hanbei, and Ranmaru thrown in as well, among others like the generics, like the Mino Triumvirate and Lord Sessai. It's a riot, really... lol Edited May 11, 2013 by Acacia Sgt
Emeraldfox
Luuul, that does sound funny. Are there any other spotpass maps that ypu know of, Acacia?
Acacia Sgt
I have quite a few unlocked. I think two of them are unlocked through regular gameplay but the rest were Spotpass. I got them all at once since, well, the schedule is long past, heh. Anyway, I haven't seen much of the, though I do the short descriptions. One is about Hanbei and Gracia rescuing Kanbei from a castle, another of Ieyasu and the ninjas going to defend Iga, Gracia dragging Magoichi into a journey, a true West versus East clash between Warlords, Motonari putting the Tachibana to a test, and that's the ones I remember. Actually, I've heard more of that last one, the objectives are basically historical questions, and you answer by defeating the corresponding officer or officers. I think that's very cool, and is one of the maps I'm looking forward to play, just to put myself on the test about how much I know of the era. XD Watch me resort to look up the answers after failing several times or gong by trial and error. Edited May 11, 2013 by Acacia Sgt
Ein
Unchained Blades huh you know I started playing that game then stopped in the very first dungeon because there was a door that required my little monster party to be kind of buff and I was like really now I'll grind up for battles but grinding for minigame sequences? thats some bullshit and thats the story of how I forgot about that game till now To think I was thinking of getting that game. Then again I saw the designs for some of the female characters and I was like nope.jpg The human race is not fit for existence. I must eliminate it at once. Get in line.
