Where my mom's family lives (British Columbia, with the rocky mountains) there is this road that is at the edge of a cliff and it has a really sharp turn. Several accidents have happened at that spot where people take the turn too quickly and fall off the side of the cliff. When my mom and dad started living together in Indiana, one night my mom had a dream. She saw her three cousins and she saw them go up to heaven. The next day, she got a call and was told her three cousins died in an accident because their dad was drunk and he took that turn on that road too quickly and drove off the side of the cliff. It's... interesting although it is still quite sad. Pride Posted May 28, 2013 Share Posted May 28, 2013 That's a pretty strange story alright, Freohr although having driven through the rockies on my way to denver on several occasions it is not surprising treacherous roads up there besides that though, I always have trouble believing it when people tell me they had dreams like that it just seems so specific that's probably because nothing interesting ever happens anymore its fine if interesting things dont happen but there should at least be discussion of interesting things which reminds me of a story.... Pride Posted May 28, 2013 Share Posted May 28, 2013 (edited) [spoiler=the story, as usual very boring but I do try]you see, I heard from my old man that a few months ago in LAa certain hotel found a woman's body, long since decomposed,in the hotel water tankbesides the disguting sanitation connotationsthis lead to numerous questions about how it got there, as the sole access to the water tank is on the roofit was discovered that she was let on the roof by an employeeand so the city in recent days has been cracking down on hotel safety, and most major hotels will no longer allow roof accessa couple of weeks ago my cousin and I went to LAand attempted to get to the top of the Westin hotel in downtownhe found a stairway I had ignored on my last visitnear the highest level the elevators could take youand upon ascending it found ourselves on a non-descript concrete floorafter a minute of following the hallway we encountered two people talkingthey were not hotel staff, but a young couplea somewhat fat young man, and a 20-something woman a bit shorter than me, wearing beach clothes (and rocking them might I add)who, after introductions, informed us that they too were trying to get the topa rather colorful duo they seemed like they'd had a bit to drink and were disorientedthey also made no secret what they wanted to do on the roof, which I will leave to your imaginationafter unsuccessfully plying the floor, I decided to inform them of the story of the woman in the tankand how our poor luck in reaching the top may be tied to that storyperhaps due to my matter of fact relation of the story and considering what they had just told us about what they wanted to do on the roofthe girl looked me over suspiciously and asked mecompletely serious"are you guys cops?my cousin and I looked at each otherand laughedwe then all walked down and out and wished each other mutual good luck in their endeavoursthe end Heehee it has made me wonder if perhaps it shocked her so much that maybe some of the things she said about her dream were stretched~ But I won't believe that she made the whole thing up.
