When I took Linux I didnt understand since it wasnt like Java where you can just use Jgrasp and stuff, plus the instructor was going over advance stuff so early, I didnt pass that one. It's certainly a possibility I see hopefully it goes well for you, right now I'm just at a community college trying to finish my math and other classes I might've missed before going back to CS courses.
