Fruity Insanity
you asked about who'd buy that dlc, i simply answered back when rpgmaker scams weren't a thing, most of those extras would be available for free around the net Well, I guess I won't buy it, then. That DLC is a turn-off.

Lance Masayoshi
Well, I guess I won't buy it, then. That DLC is a turn-off. If you're trying to get the 20+ stuff it's not worth itThe under 10.00 stuff is for it has character designs, and unless you want tiles and stuff, it's not worth it. Thor Odinson
Does Unity cost money Free for the trial version Which basically just puts a watermark on your game, restricts some fancy graphics stuff as far as I've used (and I doubt Neal will ever even touch, it stuff about light baking and stuff), most of its features still work perfectly well I've used it for class it is legitimately great Edited June 20, 2014 by Thor Odinson
PuffPuff
It gives you a lot more freedom to work with and honestly it's not that much time used It's super simple Unity is very powerful and does a lot of the shit for you anyway, which is why you only need scripting it's nowhere close to the level of effort needed to program an entire game from scratch I can't see a premade gamemaking tool being able to really do much without some form of scripting, even romhacking has events in addition to Nightmare and Feditor and shit so you need to learn a scripting language eventually anyway And C# is one of the nicer ones Javascript is very useful though since it's the default HTML5 scripting language so you can make websites with that shit Tried that once. It sure is a headache without any form of lesson.

Thor Odinson
@canonical: I don't use that so w/e Unity trial is literally forever it just makes it so you have a unity watermark and restricts some stuff The full license is hella expensive but if you're just making shit for fun you don't need full if you're getting full you're probably a serious dev who wants to actually sell the game for dosh Edited June 20, 2014 by Thor Odinson

Thor Odinson
Welp... Read the edit, you posted too fast @Neal: just google start with a simple hello world and work from there Hello world -> simple math -> conditions -> loops I would say recursion because we did that in the bootcamp but you don't need recursion to do simple stuff
