It was absolutely cringeworthy wait Touhou is just a bullet hell game with great music right?And awful official character art. It's not even the best bullet hell out there. In anime, if something makes sense there has to exist something that's either stupid or convoluted so that what made sense gets scrapped. For a classic example of this, watch DBZ and pay attention to when they're discussing how they're going to deal with the androids Trunks warned them about. Bulma's suggestion in particular. I took those lines from All Hail Shadow and Almost Dead, two of the credits themes for Shadow the Hedgehog. That last post in particular, specifically the "Heaven can't save us" bit is just an excerpt from it. I in no way disbelieve in God or heaven. wtf mate. Your post didn't come close to trolling, so no need to be so self-defensive. debating between kara no shoujo and saya no uta which one? You're too young for either, imo. Just like how I couldn't in good conscience recommend Swan Song when it came up in discussion in HHH, I can't legitimately encourage you to read either of those either, for darkness in themes that go beyond just vanilla sexual content. If you want to read something along the lines of Saya, though, try At the Mountains of Madness or The Case of Charles Dexter Ward. It may not seem as appealing, with a lack of pictures, soundtrack, etc. but they're the kind of stories that laid the bulk of the groundwork and inspiration for works like Saya, imhotep.
