You can get Mog later on if you choose the hairpin, but you won't be able to obtain his Water Rondo dance. Water Rondo requires you to go on a lengthy side quest of sorts and is essentially worthless. Gold Hairpins are cool, but you can get more of them later on. You could continue though. I don't know much about part 4 aside that the main antagonist is quite the fetishist, but part 5 seems quite interesting. Most characters already have around 90+ in Strength or Magic (I don't care about the other stats). I'm probably going to continue to raise their stats, even though it really isn't necessary.
