Depends, a short song like Brave Sir Robin takes you 1~2 hours at max. and 1's actually a lot once you get the hang of it. Now, sometihng like Red and Black took me 8 hours, though, and it was only vocals and no instrumentals =o Aww, too bad =( =D Aww =( I tried writing down the notes for a piano melody once (hard one for me, probably easy for you) and had to give up halfway. Well, if you have the vocal selections with oyu it gets even easier xDD It's discovering which notes are missing that are a challenge =o I am, if I plan to record some osngs I'll need some backing, so yeah...
