I told her how I felt, she listened, constantly asking if I was all right, as apparently I looked..probably too nervous or something.

Then she said she would forget that this ever happened and treat me as a friend still.

Take note that I'm generalizing and am referring mostly to you being home-schooled. You can't deny that there are some who wouldn't care much about their health problems and would be more psyched about not having to go to school.
