Paper Jam
A quick observation and some questions about the Heron Laguz: Reyson said toward the end of Path of Radiance, after Leanne was captured but before she was rescued, that he could sense that she was still alive. In light of this, why couldn't Reyson sense Leanne back when she was secluded in Serenes Forest (before Ike found her)? And why did neither of them know that Rafiel was still alive until Radiant Dawn?
DragonBladeSniper
Well that's obviously because... ... ... No idea. XD I think it's because A: it's a mistake or B: because he has to know who he is sensing before sensing and he never thought of sensing the dead. Jaybee
IS is dumb. There's your answer.
Ragnell
It might have been a matter of distance. Leanne was only a short distance from him when she was captured, while Rafiel was up in Daein before PoR, and Reyson was in Phoenicis, so he was a ways away from Serenes Forest. Or maybe Leanne was in a magic-induced sleep, so he couldn't sense her. Or IS didn't think of this... just about every story in existence has some sort of contradiction, and this is a video game plotline we're talking about. Probably just another "Ooops, didn't think of that" moment at IS.
Liz
probably has to do with her being put to sleep. maybe Leanne was so deep in slumber, that her mind was blocked from external influence and vice-versa?
Nestling
I assume it's kind of like in missing children cases. "OMG I CAN SENSE THAT THEY'RE ALIVE! MOTHER'S INSTINCT!" But when something happens that seems like the child is dead "OMG HE'S DED NO STOP DA SERCH PARTY KTHX HERES UR PAI"
Zkirsche
At the time before meeting Leanne, he was consumed in hatred, and chaos stops his telepathy. After meeting up with Leanne, he forgives Sanaki and releases said chaos. And why did neither of them know that Rafiel was still alive until Radiant Dawn? Distance, perhaps? RPG
Maybe Rafiel's character wasn't planned at the time of PoR, so they just tossed him in there. In other words, IS screws up.
