dondon151
Thany's durability is disgustingly bad, though, but I suppose this suits her better than a melee class because her durability would be bad anyway. Mage Saul looks better than Lugh though =O I think you should consider putting one of the crappier prepromotes in this class to salvage whatever speck of utility they have. Though, I'm too lazy to check what other staff utility classes are in this set... Edited July 31, 2009 by dondon151
Unknown Gamer11
Atleast Thany's a dodge tank and can now always attack at indirect. Saul is better than Lugh, but Saul also makes a really good cavalier and this way he'd be able to keep up with Dorothy who's also a cav. Unknown Gamer11
Well I'm guessing this may as well be a dead topic. Unless someone wants to see some more classes to fill it out more easily. Or if it would work better I could just re-post it when I'm done all the classes if I continued to work on it. Rewjeo
I'll keep working on every other one on the list, and then I guess I could PM them to you when I finish. Then you could start a new topic, and hopefully get some discussion. Sound good?
Unknown Gamer11
Sure, though you could tell me what you've done and we could split the work, I wouldn't mind doing some. I have pegs and valks done, and we'd also need to get (if we get more disussion) Valks and Pegs outta the way once discussion starts, cause if we don't we could end up with extra males that we haven't used and only female classes remaining. Wyverns too, because they're split among A/B class sets due to females. Also, I never changed the luck growth when I did it, so if you've been doing it like that we could have a few minor problems, because all that I posted so far has been without luck growth changing (like in SD). PuffPuff
Lugh? Hmm, well, Mage/Sage is a wanted class, so we probably want him out of there. I'm thinking this'll be a problem with all mages. They have the highest attack growth in their group, so anyone coming from Mage will have poor strength, while if we take say, a healer or a myrmidon or an archer that had a good growth, they'd have an amazing magic growth. I guess archer. Mage is the only way for his offense to not fall into a hole, and someone else probably wants that. His next best option is wyvern rider, which is also a wanted class, and even then, his offense is pretty lame. If he goes archer, then he might have some instant utility. That strength base is okay, and his speed might just be enough to double something. And if he got a few levels, he at least might have enough speed to double often and put things into the zone where anyone you want can kill them. You can imagine Lugh doing hardly no damage as a melee unit without Steel Weapon or higher. His good speed growth will support those heavier weapons. ----- I think that Lilina would make a good Peg Knight and stripping this class off Yuno because of her good Res and Mag growth from her original class. She would be impenitrible in this class. Edited September 18, 2009 by Ayanami
Unknown Gamer11
It could be good, and Lilina struck out to me when I was doing Peg Knights. However, here are her stats/growths: Lilina: HP 14 (55%) Str 8 (55%) Skl 7 (20%) Spd 7 (40%) Luck 4 (50%) Def 3 (17%) Res 5 (25%) Con 5 As you can see, her durability gets even worse. She has worse durability than Thany at level one, due to lower defense, HP, and speed base. Her res won't be that amazing (but decent), and her defense won't grow very well. She'd be pretty great once leveled aside from her low skill and having a good speed growth, but she'd never have as good speed as the other pegs, and she'd be harder to raise than she was as a mage. Unfortunately for Lilina, mage was probably her best class and she's gonna be kicked out of that, so she'll probably be a worse unit than she already was. Rewjeo
Lol@ 14 base HP with 55% growth. That's just hilarious. Although it helps her speed and she has awesome strength. She'd actually be an awesome player phase unit. I guess I should start working on some, huh?
Unknown Gamer11
Oh, I've been not doing it either much, so don't worry. I am almost finished knights though (I have pegs and valks done). I've also found out Clarine's pretty much horrible as anything but a troubadour. Her base speed growth is surprisingly -5%, since the troubadour's base speed growth is 55%. Hash Jar
Barth, Geese, Gonzales and Miledy are the only ones that suck out to me in Knight/General. Miledy Wants to stay a Wyvern Knight though so I say: 1. Barth 2. Geese 3. Gonzales 4. Wendy 5. Sue I just don't know how good Barth will be in other classes though since his base HP and Str are high, but Spd is terrible. I only put him as one since he starts with it and is better than any other option when he joins. Wendy's and Sue's bases suck but both have some potential at least... maybe. --- Sue and Wendy have terrible suck ass bases, but their growths are awesome (except for Mag :\). They're healing though so... Miledy is too good at fighting to be a Troubadour so no. Niime should be nothing. So I say: 1. Clarine 2. Sue 3. Wendy --- I honestly don't know for Pegasus :\ I like this topic. Very well done. Edited November 2, 2009 by Rafael
Junkhead
Sue, Gonzales & Geese would make good Knights/Generals, Sue has a her Def growth a little low, but her base and promo gain totally make up for it.
Unknown Gamer11
Barth actually wouldn't be too bad as a fighter, I think he has something like a 35% speed growth. There's one big problem with the whole thing we're doing though, brigands and pirates. For one, how do we decide who can switch to what class, or do we just give both? Pirates and Brigands also have terrible base growths that aren't HP and Strength, and Brigands only have higher HP than Pirates. Both are greatly outdone by fighters in growths, but Berserkers as a class are better than Warriors (but their base growths still suck). This also means Gonzales is pretty much amazing as anything. Hash Jar
Fighters-20 HP 5 STR 2 SKL 4 SPD 2 DEF 0 RES 11 CON When compared to Fighters: Brigands - -1 SKL +1 SPD +1 DEF +1 CON Pirates - -1 HP -1 STR +2 SPD +1 DEF -1 CON I think only pirates are worth changing into. They get +2 SPD which IMO makes up for their -5% SPD growth. That +1 DEF doesn't make of for the -5% DEF growth though. Worse HP too. Pirates have the same SKL growth while brigands get a -5%. In my opinion I think the class growths for Speed should be swapped between the pirate and fighter. It would make it more fair and make more sense (faster SPD cap as a beserker), IMO. Also, the promoted growths should be changed to their unpromoted growths, IMO. Edited November 2, 2009 by Rafael
Unknown Gamer11
Well I don't think I would actually change the growths but that does make sense. Just unfortunate that brigands/pirates/zerkers have such bad growths (the bases are fine). Brigands do get their mountain movement ability though, but choosing pirate seems easier.
