Candlejack
At least Nasir could do something in one chapter than Rolf could do in the entire game.
Iced
This is PoR Tremaine, not RD. It can be RD if you want I was meant to post in general FE but forgot. If you're willing to baby/BXP abuse him a bit(ok a lot) he can be good in both games but I feel he was better in PoR because it it's not such a huge gamble taking him with Shinon already there and so strong. unless you want two archers but I usually only take 1 of a class
Candlejack
At least Shinon has awesome growths when you get him, again, in PoR. Rolf doesn't turn out as awesome.
Loki Laufeyson
This is PoR Tremaine, not RD. Shinon is still bad in this one. Not really. I found Shinon to be quite a decent unit once he rejoins. As for Rolf, take him or leave him. Unlike Mist, hes really not worth the work. Eltoshen
Except Archers are basically useless in every FE game not named Shadow Dragon. lolwhat Have you seen Shinon in RD? Actually, no, he hasn't. True that. From what I've seen, he does look rather useful. Of course, I haven't played FE Gaiden either. The only two I haven't played. Candlejack
Well Shinon isn't an Archer. He's a Sniper. Duh. Of course Archers still SUCK, but that's because the only rep they have is Lolnardo.
