CrashGordon94
So, what are you arguing about? BC/AD (the correct terms) vs. BCE/CE (the terms used by butthurt Atheist Moral Guardians) And I'm here Iced! :3 Just because Christianity forced the concept of BC and AD onto many doesn't validate it. BCE is correct. I can equally say BC/AD is for buttheaded Chrisian people who go on crusades. We INVENTED it, therefore we reserve the right to force terminology. Bullshit. Many inventions created have laws restricting the use. We also created BCE. Therefore we can force the terminology by your logic. Provide an argument that doesn't contradict yours. AD/BC is the original terminology, as well as the more culturally accepted. Besides, "Common Era" (Since I actually looked it up) Has no real meaning behind it, since Judaism and Islam STILL use completely different Calendars. BC, which stands for Before Christ, DOES have meaning to it, since it's the era before Jesus Christ- The actual historical figure who we have PHYSICAL DOCUMENTATION ON beside the Bible, of which the New Testament was written ABOUT HIM- was born. Although Jesus was actually born in 5AD, not 0AD... BCE is essentially the way to avoid offending people who don't believe in Christ. I'm arguing that they both are correct. A lot of things have no reason behind it, but we don't condemn those. So why is BCE wrong? The BC and AD aren't accurate for Christ's real birth and everything. They just wanted to apply it. Don't bother, if they're gonan be offended, let them be.

If you're offended by the mentioning of "Christ", then I'm sorry, but you're a fucking gimp. That applies to EVERYONE. Really, all this political correctness bullshit just makes society more sensitive to shit. Besides, Whether someone believes that Jesus was a prophet or the son of God or whatever is irrelevant. The fact is there was a man named Jesus Christ, who was born around 0AD (Which was an estimate of Jesus's birth made in the Middle Ages. We only pinned it down recently), who preached about being kind and charitable, and became the main focus of one of the largest religeons in the world, if not THE largest. Whether you believe he is a prophet or just a man is irrelevant- He's STILL one of the most influential people in the history of Mankind. While most people do use the Gregorian calendar, which is what CE/BCE and AD/BC are, Jews and Muslims use completely different calendars, as do many Asian countries. It isn't a Common Era unless all countries are using the same calendar system.
BK-201
Common doesn't have to refer to all. The fact is BCE is common to America, it can be used without contradicting the words in it.
Kinata
There's no such thing as 0 AD. It goes from 1 BC to 1 AD. And I don't really care which is used. How many people actually get offended from the expression "Before Christ?" The calendar is old, it wasn't designed to be modernly politically correct. Crash is being stuck up and trying to force the use of BC/AD. It's a free term. Use it or use the other. Crash is trying to call BCE bullshit, I think that word applies for his fetishes. Junkhead
Well, I wanted to give it to you to use as your avatar for Serenes Forest. We could get you a portrait for your character later on, obvious, you're not going to be a puppy with a Lugi cap XD
Kinata
Of course not. I was just wondering why you were offering me a normal avatar. Does mine not show up?

Kinata
I think my avatar fits. I'm unemotional and love academics. I'm probably growing up to be a professor. And dark magic is the most complex and hard to learn, which fits me. So I am similar to the druid class, so Canas fits.

Parrhesia
Heya all. My final position in the Common Era/ADBC debate, which has, so far, hijacked two threads; Referring to CE works fine. It doesn't matter which you use. I will probably speak no more of the matter.
