To open this program,windows needs to know what program created it...

-use the web service to find program

-select a program from a list of downloaded programs

I believe is what he means.

You need to download the latest Java Runtime Environment, as mentioned in the readme. Once you've done that, FE_Editor.jar should have a Java icon and will run if you double click it.

i downloaded JAva Runtime Enviorment and it still didn't work

You've extracted it right?

Then just double click the Run batch file.

You've extracted it right?

Then just double click the Run batch file.

The one that I downloaded wasn't in a zipped folder where do you download it then?

I mean FEditor. Did you unzip FEditor?

Thats the problem it isn't in a zipped folder. Can anyone tell me where to download it?

When I downloaded it it saved itself as a 7z file...any idea on that one?

Download 7zip to extract the files from it.

You can always search the internet to find out what file extensions do what : P

How about try that? : o

If you hover over the FEEditor Adv download link, you can see the URL has a .7z file extension at the end.

Then you're doing something wrong. FEditor Adv is downloaded as a 7Zip file. That's just how it is.
