I'm not involved in any kind of music-making, I'm far too busy with all the work that spreading the revolution in apathetic populations entails, but I don't have much respect for guitar players without further qualifications. Most go for the guitar only because of its prevalence in rock music and its derivatives. How am I supposed to respect a surrender to the post-modernist urban monoculture? There are just too many meaningless buzzwords involved.

Brass players, now brass players have my full respect. Strong lungs are the surest sign of a strong heart.

Music is serious business.

It is, a lot of people are able to make a lot of money off of it. There's a lot of bitching about the proportion of people who get their music illegally, but the paying market is still bigger than it ever was before, in every country.

big lungs? Isn't it all in the embouchure?

That doesn't mean anything if you can't get a strong and clear sound out of your instrument, and more importantly sustain that sound. Someone who smokes cigarettes or can't run a mile will have trouble getting a sustained, good sound out of a trombone.

yet you will get no noise if you have no air -_-

I used to play clarinet, but never practices; predictably, I was terrible. Now I can barely stand the sound of clarinets.

Vaguely learning acoustic guitar in a roundabout way.
