whase
hey, I don't know if this is the right place to ask, but does anyone know how to calculate the experience gain in radiant dawn, with beorc and laguz? I'm sorry if I missed it, but I've already searched through quite a lot of topics. thanks, whase
Jaybee
IIRC HM: Weaken: (player level - enemy level) + 5 Kill: (player level - enemy level) + 20 For NM just add 5, don't care about easy.
Narga_Rocks
IIRC HM: Weaken: (player level - enemy level) + 5 Kill: (player level - enemy level) + 20 For NM just add 5, don't care about easy. I think: Weaken: ((player level - enemy level)/2) + 5 (minimum 1) Kill: (player level - enemy level) + 15 + Weaken (minimum 1) Or possibly kill = ((player level - enemy level) * 3 / 2) + 20. It seems the same at first, but it could result in a different number if player level is at least 9 higher than enemy level. Also, I don't know if it rounds up or down when (player level - enemy level) is an odd number. But that's just beorc vs. beorc while in the same tier. It gets more complex when considering if the PC is a transformed laguz or if it is in humanoid form or if it is attacking a laguz or if they are beorc in different tiers or whatever. I don't know if anybody knows the formula when you consider all of that stuff. Also a transformed laguz is considered at its level * 2 (rather than level * 1.5 like for bexp calculations). But there might be additional penalties. So a level 25 laguz acts like a 20/20/10 Beorc. But if it is not transformed it acts like a 20/5 Beorc. Though again, there may be additional penalties/bonuses involved in this. Edited December 15, 2009 by Narga_Rocks

Obviously, there is no 4th tier promotion for beorc, and the double level would suggest that a level 35 laguz levels like a (hypothetical) 20/20/20/10 beorc. I imagine that there has to be more to it than this. When I get back to playing RD, I'll take a good look into this and see if I can work some sort of formula out. whase
that a lvl.35 laguz would be a 20/20/20/10 beorc actually sounds possible to me. since I never get more that one exp with most high level laguz.... unless I don't transform them :) (good for leveling units like skrimir and tibarn)

If I can find some stuff, I will put it down here. I'll make sure to record exp and hopefully we can get some sort of formula for CExp created. I'm interested in that stuff too.
