Parrhesia
I don't mind about using Pathfinder monsters, just the ruleset. And yeah, I wouldn't like to be DM...it'd be my first time, and I lack the experience to get the mixture of slaughtering things/actual plot right. Another ill-fated Race/Class combo shall once more walk the lands!
Snowy_One
No problem from me so long as you aren't one of the asshole GM's who sics every possible monster on the healer at the start of the combat.
-Cynthia-
Clerics and such tend to be pretty tanky, it wouldn't be as bad as the wizard/sorceror getting mobbed.
Dark Sage
No problem from me so long as you aren't one of the asshole GM's who sics every possible monster on the healer at the start of the combat. Ha ha. No I'm not one of those DMs. I actually never DM'd before because I had no one to play with. Post your characters when you're done with making 'em. Oh and how many people are playing? Snowy_One
Question. We are using the point-buy system... but which? I just looked it up (used to rolling numbers) and I've found that there are three main models, 25, 28, and 32 points. Which will we be using?
Parrhesia
Lv.5 or 6 seems like a good place to start. Skill Tricks will be used but not luck feats. And yes, 32 PB sounds reasonable. So level 5? And yeah, 32 PB. Oh, I have the Miniatures supplement as well as the Everquest...thing. Basically it's best for Taunt, ridiculously ovrthetop races and a good Warrior class. EDIT: Do we get the extra point without cost for level 4? Edited April 4, 2010 by Furetchen
Dark Sage
EDIT: Do we get the extra point without cost for level 4? Huh? What are you talking about?
-Cynthia-
Every 4 levels you can add a point to an attribute score. Traditonally this does not coutn towards the point total.
Dark Sage
Ok, you can do that.
Parrhesia
Right, I'll make my character, assuming level 5 with standard cash to buy shiny things. EDIT: Are prestige classes allowed? I'm eyeing Arcane Archer, myself... Edited April 4, 2010 by Furetchen
Dark Sage
Yes they are. I'm working on a few homebrew ones like Black Mage and the like. They're not quite finished yet, but they're getting there. I'll send you them at a later point. Edited April 4, 2010 by Dark Sage

Backstory: Born the younger sister of a small family of four, Saeolyin has always looked up to her older brother, Midhir, the priest of a small chapel in a backwater town. Due to the remote location of the town, Saeolyin was encouraged to work in the fields while her brother studied and worshiped. At nights, she would play with him and sing child's songs to bring him to sleep. When their parents died, Saeolyin learned a few of the local songs and, in addition to working in the fields as a hired hand in a place where there were few workers, started to sing for extra coin. Though her list of songs was small, it was able to bring in enough to keep the house maintained. The chapel her brother worked in, however, was starting to wear thin. Though not the devoted Cleric her brother is, Saeolyin was not a stranger to the lifestyle either due to having been raised with a Cleric for a brother. Promising that she would return with the money to fix up the chapel, she managed to get a suit of armor and a sword to protect herself, and left her town. Goals: To amass enough gold to fix her brothers chapel through donations given to her. Methods: Is willing to perform Clerical work for the promise of a donation. Willing to sing for money as well. Not to keen directly on questing, but willing to do so for donations. Known Quirks/flaws: Still unaccustomed to her armor. Though she is a singer, she has only a few simple songs at her disposal; far from enough to become a proper bard (which is why she has not taken to the bard lifestyle) Easily intimidated. Allergic to eggs. Okay. Now where did I mess up?
Dark Sage
None. Interesting character. Ok anywhere else? The setting will start in Pravoka.

-Cynthia-
I actually wasn't necessarily planning on joining, just commenting. Although you only seem to have 3 players so far, so I guess I could fill the empty slot.
Dark Sage
Cool. Thanks. Could you post your character later?
Defeatist Elitist
I'm back now. I'll be posting my character soon, it shall be a Wizard. 8] Good luck on your first try at DMing though too, if you have any questions, just ask me (I mainly DM, I don't get many chances to play). Snowy_One
I used a generator to get the basic stats (filling out skills is a pain). I would assume it took care of bonus spells.
-Cynthia-
I really don't think it did. 18 Wis gets you a bonus spell for levels 1, 2, 3, 4 For level 3 spells, that means you should have one spell for being level 5, one bonus, and one domain, but it just says 1+1. Oh, and I think I might play a Knight. Edited April 4, 2010 by -Cynthia-

Dark Sage
Oh yeah I found a RPG program at BYOND. It has multiple ways of rolling dice, sheets, etc. I'm not sure how to use it. If you do know ZXValaRevan, I could use some help.

If you do know ZXValaRevan, I could use some help. I don't know, sadly. I mainly use The Tangled Web for character sheets and Invisible Castle for dice. Also, prepare to encounter a killer gnome, once I finish building this stuff.
Dark Sage
Could you give me the links please?
Parrhesia
Engh. Can't find my goddamn rulebooks. I can do everything but my stuff, I guess. I remember most things except for prices and magic items. Edited April 5, 2010 by Furetchen
