Kiddo
I apologize if this is a bit much to ask, but is anyone perhaps willing to do osme high-resolution scans? I've seen a few "Preview" type images of the pages with the BS Fire Emblem artwork - I'd love to see them more clearly, if it was possible. Ike-Mike
Guess what arrived in my mail today! Now I wish my nephew would give my Path of Radiance back so the shelf wouldn't look so off and because I'd like to play it again. EDIT: Here's most of the artbook's content in IM form. 19:21 - GrafWutzenstein: FE1 Wolf looks so fat. 19:21 - GrafWutzenstein: Oh and the FE11 GCs are surprisingly awesome when actually printed out 19:21 - Ninji: Oh? 19:21 - GrafWutzenstein: like in the artbook. 19:22 - Ninji: Ah. 19:22 - Ninji: Maybe you could scan them for the site. 19:23 - GrafWutzenstein: You can't scan it like that 19:23 - GrafWutzenstein: I mean the difference between seeing something on paper and seeing it on a monitor 19:23 - Ninji: Ah. 19:23 - GrafWutzenstein: Though I'm contemplating on scanning the BSFE stuff. 19:24 - GrafWutzenstein: Oh? 19:24 - Ninji: ? 19:24 - GrafWutzenstein: There's even a page for the Red/Green cavaliers. 19:24 - GrafWutzenstein: Red/Green cavaliers confirmed for official archetype! 19:24 - Ninji: Yep. 19:26 - GrafWutzenstein: Seriously 19:26 - GrafWutzenstein: this book is every FE fan's wet dream. 19:26 - Ninji: Oh? 19:26 - GrafWutzenstein: It has pretty much every artwork possible. 19:27 - Ninji: Haha. 19:27 - GrafWutzenstein: Even a page on how every FE1 character's mugshot changed for every remake. 19:27 - Ninji: Whoa, really? 19:27 - GrafWutzenstein: yeah 19:28 - GrafWutzenstein: There's even a small window on the Zeke/Camus connection 19:29 - GrafWutzenstein: which I can't read because it's all in moonrunes! 19:30 - GrafWutzenstein: on the mugshot change page 19:30 - GrafWutzenstein: there's a huuge row for Camus 19:30 - GrafWutzenstein: with the headline "Could it be...?" or something like that 19:30 - GrafWutzenstein: XD 19:30 - Ninji: Wow. 19:32 - GrafWutzenstein: Jugdral section 19:32 - GrafWutzenstein: has the characters sorted by country 19:33 - GrafWutzenstein: with FE4 and FE5 characters being mixed 19:33 - Ninji: Ah/ 19:33 - Ninji: That'll clear up some of the FE5 ones, I guess. 19:33 - GrafWutzenstein: It's all there on SF 19:33 - GrafWutzenstein: the FE5 artwork 19:34 - GrafWutzenstein: apparently FE6 had a collector's edition box 19:35 - GrafWutzenstein: oh yeah 19:36 - GrafWutzenstein: with the artwork being mixed 19:36 - GrafWutzenstein: Thracia obviously gets the most pages 19:36 - GrafWutzenstein: oh and Fergus shows up in Augustria 19:36 - Ninji: Is Beowulf over there, too? 19:36 - GrafWutzenstein: yes 19:36 - Ninji: Hmmm. 19:37 - GrafWutzenstein: so basically they're making a huuuuge implication that Beowulf is indeed Ferg's father? 19:37 - Ninji: I guess, yeah. 19:37 - Ninji: It pretty much perfectly explains why he can use the Holy Blood sword thing. 19:37 - GrafWutzenstein: "Triangle attack... trio" confirmed for official archetype! 19:38 - GrafWutzenstein: all the pegasus sisters 19:38 - GrafWutzenstein: the mage triplets in FE4 19:38 - GrafWutzenstein: the armors in FE6 19:38 - Ninji: Armor Knights? 19:38 - GrafWutzenstein: Oscar, Boyd and Rolf 19:38 - Ninji: Hm. 19:38 - GrafWutzenstein: and the 4 peg knights in RD 19:39 - GrafWutzenstein: ok 19:39 - GrafWutzenstein: cmoing next 19:39 - GrafWutzenstein: is elibe 19:40 - GrafWutzenstein: the red guy at FE7's ending was indeed yahn 19:40 - Ninji: Ah. 19:40 - GrafWutzenstein: lol 19:40 - GrafWutzenstein: there's a geneaology tree 19:41 - GrafWutzenstein: it goes Elbert x Eleanora 19:41 - GrafWutzenstein: then 19:41 - GrafWutzenstein: Eliwood x Ninian or Lyn or Fiora 19:41 - GrafWutzenstein: gee thanks for not shutting up the fangirls on who Roy's mother is 19:41 - GrafWutzenstein: oh 19:41 - GrafWutzenstein: AND THEN 19:42 - GrafWutzenstein: Roy x Lilina or Tate or Sue or Lalum or Cecilia or Sophia 19:42 - Ninji: Sure gave us a lot of closure there. 19:43 - GrafWutzenstein: oh then there's Hector's genealogy tree 19:43 - GrafWutzenstein: Uther [brother]Hector x Florina or Farina or Lyn 19:43 - GrafWutzenstein: I suppose the order goes from more canon/destined/whatever to less 19:43 - Ninji: wow 19:44 - GrafWutzenstein: then it goes 19:44 - GrafWutzenstein: Lilina x Roy 19:44 - GrafWutzenstein: so uh 19:45 - GrafWutzenstein: Roy x Lilina confirmed for canon pairing? 19:45 - Ninji: Not exactly groundbreaking news there. 19:45 - GrafWutzenstein: lol 19:45 - GrafWutzenstein: Lyn's genealogy tree is even more stupid 19:46 - Ninji: Oh? 19:47 - GrafWutzenstein: Lundgren [brother] (whatever Lyn's grandpa was) x Lyndis 19:47 - GrafWutzenstein: then it goes down to Lyn's parents 19:47 - GrafWutzenstein: then 19:47 - GrafWutzenstein: Lyn x Eliwood or Hector or Rath or Kent 19:48 - Ninji: Amazing. 19:48 - GrafWutzenstein: so Lyn's most destined pairing is Eliwood while Eli's most destined pairing is Ninian 19:48 - GrafWutzenstein: oO 19:48 - Ninji: I don't really expect consistency from IS, tbh. 19:48 - GrafWutzenstein: lol 19:49 - GrafWutzenstein: there's also Zephiel's genealogy tree 19:49 - GrafWutzenstein: nothing surprising there 19:49 - Ninji: Yeah 19:49 - GrafWutzenstein: except that next to Zeph there are his 3 generals 19:50 - GrafWutzenstein: oh 19:50 - GrafWutzenstein: there's one tree for Rath 19:50 - Ninji: I don't suppose ages are there? 19:50 - GrafWutzenstein: nope, there aren't 19:51 - Ninji: Damn. 19:51 - GrafWutzenstein: the book also doesn't go on the Ninian and Nils/Nergal connection 19:51 - Ninji: :/ 19:53 - GrafWutzenstein: Gottam love how Cormag's Japanese name is Cougar. 19:53 - Ninji: Yep. 19:55 - GrafWutzenstein: there's a drawing of Ike's route after he got promoted to lord in PoR 19:55 - GrafWutzenstein: and all the backstory stuff from RD that I'd rather like to treat as discontinuity. 19:55 - Ninji: Ah. 19:56 - GrafWutzenstein: ok 19:57 - GrafWutzenstein: there's a geneaolgy tree for Ashnard x Almedha 19:57 - Ninji: Ah. 19:57 - GrafWutzenstein: [son] Soren [gibberish] Pelleas 19:58 - GrafWutzenstein: oh 19:58 - GrafWutzenstein: there's that unreleased CG where Sephiran holds child Sanaki out to the people 19:59 - GrafWutzenstein: http://serenesforest.net/fe10/cg/32.png 19:59 - GrafWutzenstein: this one 20:01 - GrafWutzenstein: also Danved is certainly not Devdan 20:01 - Ninji: ah, good 20:02 - GrafWutzenstein: actually, there is something about both of them 20:02 - GrafWutzenstein: but it's all in moonspeak so 20:02 - GrafWutzenstein: also some concept art 20:02 - GrafWutzenstein: how Ike, Soren, Mist and elincia look under their armor and garbs 20:02 - GrafWutzenstein: nomnomnom 20:03 - Ninji: Hmmm. 20:03 - GrafWutzenstein: all trading card artwork 20:04 - GrafWutzenstein: BSFE stuff 20:05 - GrafWutzenstein: a very small FE12 preview 20:05 - GrafWutzenstein: and a "Special Interview" 20:06 - Ninji: Oh? 20:06 - Ninji: With whom? 20:06 - GrafWutzenstein: I dunno, it's all in moonspeak. 20:06 - GrafWutzenstein: I'll scan plenty of that stuff tomorrow Edited August 25, 2010 by Ike-Mike
Shadowknight
Here's my pictures of it: I know it's blurry, but I've got shaky hands. And ignore the writing, I was a bit of a fangirl for a moment. XD
eclipse
I'd like the llama, but that description is way too blurry to translate. Fiona's one looks doable, but I'm not her biggest fan.
LycopolisKing
WHOO! Lookit Fiona, such nice detail! I'm leaning towards the book already.

Ike-Mike
As I promised a few weeks ago, here are the scans: Camus/Zeke/Sirius Connection (Translated) Eliwood's Genealogy Tree Hector's Genealogy Tree Rath's Genealogy Tree Yahn Tellius Concept Art BSFE 1 BSFE 2 BSFE 3 BSFE 4 Special Interview The only other things I'd like to scan but haven't come to yet are Lyn' genealogy tree and the Red/Green Cavalier page. grandjackal
Here's my pictures of it: I know it's blurry, but I've got shaky hands. And ignore the writing, I was a bit of a fangirl for a moment. XD Ike-Mike! How did you not point out the Badass Roy!? Goddammit, now I want an updated version of FE6 complete with maniac/lunatic mode. Though, I'd want them to use whole new palette of design for FE6. FE6 is sunnier and mini in look compared to the latest remakes. Well, that or a new game, as long as it takes a page form FE6 map design (hey, I like it. You can actually see a huge amount of the map, I like having that. Hell, if they're going to make an FE4 remake, I BETTER be able to see a great amount of those stupidly huge maps). Much as I don't mind, would still like to see character unique pallets, and a bit more stylish approach as opposed to real. Love hte DS games, but it'd be nice to hang back again for once. ...Well ok, keep the surgically precise made maps idea, just make things a bit more lively. I know some FE6 maps were...flawed. But come on, I wanna see crazy stuff again in a world where there is LIGHT! Seriously, go back after a long time of playing FEDS games and go flip on a GBA FE. You'll be like WAAAAHHH THE LIGHT, EVERYTHING'S SO TINY!! Nice to see some of this stuff, though the Tellius concept art seems a bit awkward to me. Mainly because of that look Ike is giving as he's taking off the sash fastening his jacket. Super Mecha Death Christ
Hey, can someone post a few sample pages of the FE4 and 5 art? I want to see which version of the official art they're using for this book. Edited September 27, 2010 by Super Mecha Death Christ
Popo
This is almost certainly necroposting, but this seems like a situation where an exception would be okay. >o< I was wondering if anyone has found another retailer besides amazon.jp that currently has the book in stock, and if one of you with the book in their possession would be so kind as to give us a run down on exactly how much new art is in the book. I'm tempted to purchase it, but I'm not going to go ahead and do so if there's only two or three pages of new stuff. (Additionally, if you know anyone who's gone ahead and scanned the new art, I'd love a link!)
shadowofchaos
Here's where I got it from. http://www.yesasia.com/us/20th-anniversary-fire-emblem-completed-book/1022880129-0-0-0-en/info.html This is where Vincent told me that he MIGHT have gotten it. Ebay was like 120-ish. I'd say this was a really cheap compared to that.
Celice
Of course, the scheme then is to buy one for yourself, and buy a few others to sell :P And post some samples! I haven't seen any yet.
Popo
Wow! $50 is a steal after seeing the incredible price gauging on eBay. I love the art of Fire Emblem, but I doubt this book is worth $120 + shipping! >o< I think I'll put in an order for one tomorrow. Have you guys used YESASIA before? I think I've heard of it, but normally I import everything through PlayAsia or LJ group-buys. I don't want any unexpected surprises. Thanks so much for the link! I'm really happy that I can snag this at a good price. >w< And post some samples! I haven't seen any yet. A few samples were posted on the previous page, including some really nice images of Ike and Roy, if you haven't already seen them. Hopefully I can get a better quality scan without damaging the book. :3 Edited January 2, 2012 by Popo

Out of stock where I got it: http://www.yesasia.com/us/20th-anniversary-fire-emblem-completed-book/1022880129-0-0-0-en/info.html Out of stock here too: ご注文できない商品 = Out of Stock/"Cannot Order" ...And the prices are... "ouch" on the other places I've seen: Like Amazon.co.jp Especially Ebay It was around $120 on Ebay back when YesAsia still had them in stock for 70ish. Flying to Japan soley for this seems... a bit... yeah. You're probably better off getting it on Ebay price-wise than flying over there... and if you want to save on the price and want to go in the "effort" department... I suggest buying it from Amazon.co.jp and using a service like Tenso to ship it over to where you live. Amazon.co.jp ships to international addresses for books, but since it's only in stock for individual sellers, it looks like they only ship it within Japan... which a service like Tenso takes care of. Edit: Seems like some of the sellers have their shipping done by Amazon.co.jp. You can probably buy one there and Amazon.co.jp will ship it internationally to you. No need for the "Tenso" service I mentioned. Edited August 4, 2012 by shadowofchaos
RidellCrimea
wow, why are the prices so high? 7840 yen would be about $784 for me (my country's currency). i've never bought anything through internet before, but i guess i can trust it.
