He's got insane Speed for his level (which will stay that way through the game, unless this is a H5 run. . .anyone that's played it, a little help?), can immediately use Excalibur, and can reclass to the most mobile units in the game (and retain his ridiculous Speed). His bases, weapon levels, and reclass options make him pretty good for a prepromote. He's also one of the main reasons Team Skittles hasn't succumbed to the forces of evil yet. Integrity Posted August 20, 2010 Share Posted August 20, 2010 Wendell's Speed means that SM!Wendell is doubled by nothing for the first half or so of the game even if he never gains levels on H5. Im saying his growths suck. His bases are awesome, but why would you want to keep him when you have Lena two chapters earlier, and Merric one chapter earlier? He has 1 base MAG higher than Merric and his ability to double as SM or Anything is stopped by his Class base strength and horrible growth. EDIT2: Darros: Wendell's high base SPD makes him a great early game tank in the H3+ modes - not because he doubles, but because he handily avoids BEING doubled by anything. His bases are 'awesome', yes. This is the important part. His growths may 'suck', but growths are only a bonus given his incredible utility. Dude's got better defense than my entire team at the time with the exception of General!Zag and Abel. And Abel is on the receiving end of all my favoritism. Besides Navarre, that is. Even if he may not be so useful in the long run, he is very useful for a good amount of chapters, at least. And staves like Warp and Recover doesn't need to take his poor mag into consideration.
