Sophius
My personal favorites are Stephen King, Frank Herbert, and Edgar Allen Poe. How about everyone else?

Thor Odinson
As a big Harry Potter fan, I'm inclined to say JKRowling. I don't read in English much (besides HP), though. The books don't interest me as much for some reasons. So I mainly read Chinese books. I like Jing Yong's martial arts novels and Luo Guan Zhong, who wrote Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Also, SHAKESPEARE YEAH.

Malexis
I don't tend to memorize any one author, but I like a lot of sappy and badly written romance.

Ragnell
Terry Pratchett. Best. Author. Ever. Go read the Discworld series now. I have never had another author make me legitimately laugh throughout an entire book. I also really enjoy Orson Scott Card's Ender and Shadow series.
