You know who I am and I don't care who you are. Now that introductions are out of the way, we're going to be playing FE7, through both Lyn and Hector modes (on Hard), because that gives us the full story. I'm doing this because someone in the General forum mentioned they think FE would be better suited to a screenshot Let's Play as opposed to a video one, and I've always wanted to do a Let's Play. And 2+2=4 I'll probably have you guys suggest who to field in each chapter once Battle Prep becomes available (so Ch. 7-10 and then 14+). I'm not sure how I'll decide whose suggestion I go with. Probably whatever I like best. So don't cry that I'm picking on you if I don't go with your suggestion, 'kay? So, I'm sure everyone here has played FE7, so I'll not go over every agonizing detail of the plot. However, I will try to cover most of it and commentate it, as well as go over most of the details. This is an LP, is it not? This is our Tactician. He's pretty sweet. From my own experiences, when I awake in a teenage girl's room, I assume something else happened. Something that didn't involve clothes, but did involve alcohol. Oh shit, bandits! That have... uh... set up camp? How did Lyn not notice this until now? Yes, I'm quite adept at mind controlling people that wear blue and making them do my bidding. Unfortunately, most bandits are shirtless, so they're out of my league. Lyn, on the other hand... Lyn at first thinks this suspicious, but quickly succumbs (note the dull look in her eye). That's what you get for wearing blue. My advice? Run up and hit them. Have you not been listening? I control you, it doesn't matter. Anyway, since there's two of them, I make her kill everything. It's nice being omnipotent and omniscient. Kind of like being Jesus, without the part where I'm omni-benevolent. Oh God, you're pregnant, aren't you? Look, I'm not the father. It was probably Batta or something! You don't remember what happened, how would you know? ... Please! I beg you! I'm too young to have to contribute to society! No. You are not going to trap me into this! I never said anything of the sort. Are you even listening? Lyn doesn't listen to anything I say and contradicts herself within three sentences? She should debate tiers. NO I said "NO" LEAVE ME ALONE DAMMIT WHY GOD And so we fade to black, with the Prologue complete. We just wanted to leave, but Lyn is going to drag us off on her journey to get stronger so she can avenge her parents' deaths. Wait... that sounds like someone else I know... Oh snap. Anyway, I will update... later. Maybe. Depends. Update: As of 11/10, I'm going to be putting updates in spoiler tags so that it doesn't make the page ridiculous. Anouleth
I'm generally not a fan of FE7, but this is very entertaining so far. Do you have any goals wrt ranks, turncount, or are you just going to play through?

Toothache
Not only is this a screenshot LP (seriously, we need more of these for FE games, videos are just impractical imo), but it promises to include Hector mode, something which most LPs gloss over. Definitely worth keeping track of.

Do you have any goals wrt ranks, turncount, or are you just going to play through? Just going to play through. I would have updated today (well, I guess technically today is Friday, so yesterday), but I have a midterm tomorrow (later this?) morning. I will update afterwards though. IntegerZero
Following. Much fun shall be had. I assume you're going to get all chapters, since you're doing full story?
Paperblade
Following. Much fun shall be had. I assume you're going to get all chapters, since you're doing full story? That's the plan. Since I don't have to record, that means I can spend over 9000 hours getting Nils to level 7 for 19xx and RNG abuse to kill Kishuna (if necessary). Anyway, on to Chapter One. Dammit, she saw me. I know, that's why I was trying to get away here. Why thank you, offscreen person. ... Oh. You were talking to her. cal·low [kal-oh] -adjective 1. immature or inexperienced: a callow youth. Translation: Lyn calls Sain a virgin. "I always look like this. IS only made one facial expression for me." Oho. The plot thickens. Kent is smooth. The line is actually "There are no heroes left in man," Lyn. God, if you're going to try to sing The Protomen to make money, at least get it right. ... Can I stay with them? I like them better. Kent has to remind Sain of this often, as Sain tends to forget. Seriously, this sounds so ominous. So, she figures this out from whether or not they have intent to kill rather than, say, that they're not on horses? Or look nothing alike? Or that there's more than two of them? Seriously, no wonder Batta was able to set up camp. Lyn's blind as a bat. All one of them. I take that as a challenge. What was that, Sain? Yeah, the knights that immediately ran back into Bulgar were such an influencing factor. Kent is still smooth. That dick! Also, Sain reveals that Lyn's uncle is an evil dick and she has to go reclaim her birthright or something. It's not that interesting, because like every RPG nowadays has a female character that's secretly a princess or some shit. You're leaving me for Kent? Sweet. Sain is a total bro, you think I'd miss this? And so away we go, on the majestic journey to... meet Lyn's grandfather. ... Yeah, it doesn't sound so exciting when you put it that way. Also, stats! Paperblade
Is there a reason you're ignoring Sain and Kent, besides trying to show up Sain? Just showing up Sain. I actually use them in Chapter 2. Speaking of which... Chapter Two I thought I told you to take a bathroom break before we left Bulgar! Anyway, this is the only line before… Glass! Hey, it’s me Paper! Remember that guy Scissors? What a dick. Glass always gets a D in Funds. Steel Blades were also made for swordsmen of his skill. It’s a Prf weapon, you idiot. You can’t use it. Remind me again why the Bishop doesn’t just solo these dudes. Did he forget his Lightning tome? “The temple is under attack! Let’s go chat up the locals.” Anyway, the ruffians get cleared out. Wait, the guy gave you the sword? Isn’t using it, like, sacrilege? Yep. It is. Lyn is going straight to hell. Kent says the same thing when trying to convince women that they’re soulmates. Sain makes his best attempt to be a wingman. All conversations are better when you imagine swords and swordplay as thinly veiled metaphors for sex. Suddenly, ominous villain speak! According to Lundgren, women can’t survive international travel. ... Wait, what? “That means don’t accidentally drink it thinking it was juice, like last time.” With the revelation that Lundgren plans to kill his brother through poison (which is what, 1d3 damage per turn and lasts like 4 turns?) and... well, he has no plans about Lyn, and just assumes she's going to die to bandits. Since, y'know, we haven't already killed two separate groups of them and some hired men of his. I guess this is what happens when your villainous motivation is "don't let teenage girl visit her grandfather" Edited November 11, 2010 by Paperblade
Tables
I've noticed this Let's Play currently consists of very little 'Play'. But then again it IS Lyn's mode ¬_¬. I presume that will fix eventually?

Paperblade
I've noticed this Let's Play currently consists of very little 'Play'. But then again it IS Lyn's mode ¬_¬. I presume that will fix eventually? I'll show more of the map stuff once we get near the end of Lyn Mode and especially when we get into Hector. Lyn Mode has like no enemies and is kind of mindless. And we’re back, with Chapter Three! I thought you were the last member of your clan? Anyway, it soon becomes apparent that something’s going down! Is that why your face looks like that? Florina is holding the life of an animal above her own? Must be a PETA member. Is the market for pegasus prostitution really that big? I mean, surely there’s more people that prefer, you know. Humans. Pokemon aren’t your frie-Oh wait, wrong series. Bandit dude has yet to learn that Lyn doesn’t listen to a word anyone says. I take it you don’t accept American Express. Being sorry doesn’t pay the hospital bills. But then again, no one expected Lyn to understand the real world anyway. “Oh god what is wrong with your face—but, uh I’m sure it was like that before.” Lyn, bandits are like the North Korea of FE enemies. They’re somewhat amusing and like to pound their chests a lot, but in the end they’re of no threat to anyone. So we visit that cool house. We’re the Aristocrats! “But we decided we’d rather shoot the shit with the villagers.” Hey wait, Lyn suggested we do that last map, too. What the hell, Lyn? Wil instead opts to go kill the bandits, and leave the villagers to assume that… he’s dead or something? Kent and Sain run trains. I apologize I’m not taking screenshots of this but Lyn Mode’s actual maps bore me to tears. I promise I’ll take some once we get battle prep. “Let’s get naked.” “She clearly wants me.” This only further supports Kent’s argument. Really? Really? This pun is horrible. “...an archer.” “You’re fired.” This is the best CG in the entire game just for Kent. Anyway, apparently we've recruited Lyn's friend Florina and Arrowlad. Next chapter coming... tomorrow probably. Edited November 11, 2010 by Paperblade
