You sure that's the argument? I'd assumed the argument was:

"You slept through numbers class therefore your counting skills are suspect. Which of us is more likely to be able to tally the number of wins/losses/ties correctly?"

Now, if they were doing something as simple as "1, 2, 3, 4, ..." and he slept through that and never needed the info again for any other classes, this is actually a decent argument. If you can't actually count to 30 properly, why would you be trusted to keep score?

It's based around medieval type things, though, right? They aren't exactly doing calculus. I'd assume a big part of the class is designed to help the Lords tally up all the expenses of various projects in the city and count profits and stuff like that.

Basically, counting. A little more advanced than what I suggested in my post, but a similar principle.

I just think it makes more sense that Eliwood is suggesting Hector would miscount rather than have a faulty memory. Particularly with the comment about numbers/math/whatever class.

I apologize for the lack of updates. Class has started up again, and I'm stuck with the two worst professors in my major in classes that are required to take any further upper division courses. They use extremely confusing wording/terminology and are completely unhelpful when asking for help (hence why no one likes them) so I have to do a lot of extra work outside of class to compensate, in addition I've been trying to get into an easier class so I can drop my Physics class and still have enough units to be considered a full-time student. I should update by next Monday.
