ThatGuyDownTheStreet
Is it possible to cause a game over if a village is destroyed in fe7? I think that would be a great objective for a chapter. Thanks for your time.
Chocolate Kitty
Yes, set the condition to 65, Game Over
deleted35362
I'm not sure what Ulpir means, he probably knows more than me, but I would set it so that if an enemy goes to the tile, it's game over, just like the chapters where you'd protect the throne. Is there a specific event code for that?
Chocolate Kitty
*Uphir* Essentially Boney's saying: Misc_events: AREA 0x65 Village [X1,Y1] [X2,Y2] //Game over if village destroyed command CODE $00 Village: TEX1 0xZZZ ENDA Checking out Arch's Event Tutorial and watching some of his vids should help you out as well. Alright thank you very much, though now that I think about it the protect throne sounds like a good idea.
Crimson Red
Alternatively just have the destroy-village event go to the game over scene. JUMP 0x8(GameOverOffset, I forgot what it is) will have the events "jump" to that offset, IIRC. It'll be easier than coding the game to recognize whether the unit waiting on a village tile is an ally or an enemy (which I'm guessing is probably important since you don't want allies to cause a game over... >_>). Chocolate Kitty
Ah. Blazer is right, forgot about allies visiting the village.
