BlueLeafeon Posted February 14, 2011 Share Posted February 14, 2011 What makes the Lords of FE8 unplayable if you select the opposite lord's route? Is it event-related, or is it something more complicated such as ASM? I remember trying to bring Eirika back into play in Ephraim's route when I made Link's War. When I DID finally manage to make Eirika reappear in the route, it raised her level to 15 and gave her a steel sword--like she appears in Ch. 15. When the chapter was over and it returned me to the map, however, it re-removed her. Would anybody happen to have any insight on what causes this? Crimson Red Posted February 14, 2011 Share Posted February 14, 2011 Likely events with some ASMC codes that configure that, but if it's not, then it'd be directly hard-coded into the game, and it'd probably do that by chapter ID's, meaning your best option would be to not use those chapters where only either Eirika or Ephraim is playable, and use another chapter. But the best thing to do would not to theorize but to actually look at the code and see what it's doing, and how it's deciding to alienate an unchosen lord.
