It's strange that you noted the enemies-favor-attacking-Shanan thing. I don't really understand why that is. For example, the Mage Sisters will often ignore other targets to go attack Shanan... on a forest... with Balmung equipped... in melee range. The hell?

I just have to assume the mere sight of Shanan causes enemies to become idiotic and suicidal.

The sisters try to do it because they want to triangle attack, but it seems whenever they try it one of them ends up dying and thus nobody gets to see it. However, I noticed some Javelin Dragon Riders choosing to close-up my Balmung Shannan as well when they had the option of attacking an 1HP Oifaye.

Interesting on the triangle attack. I hadn't considered that. I think there's more to it; it's apparently not just high-evade folks like Shanan and Levin!Sety either, it happens at one point in the ch7 run where Balc's surprised by an enemy making an incredibly sub-optimal target selection. Wonder why that is.

I think you made a few tactically questionable moves in the arena - not using Wind 90% of the time, for example. It worked out okay, but really, Wind is strictly better than Thunder except against Fire users, and strictly better than Fire... often even against Wind users (due to Fire's stupid weight and lack of other bonuses, switching to Fire gives you -10 AS and +20 hit (avoid stays the same, -20 from the -10 AS, +20 from WTA)).

Asides from that, you're completely on target to cap everyone's level, probably all by a few people by Endgame arena (assuming you went into ch. 10 and endgame arenas at level 20.00, with the elite ring, and no other combat whatsoever you'd come out at 28.68). By shoving numbers into the excel file I calculated this with for about 10 seconds, it looks like everyone at level 22.48 or above doesn't even need another single point of combat EXP, so long as they can take both arenas with the Elite Ring.

Yeah, I think all of once a usage of Fire in the arena was strategic, allowing the enemy to attack first due to slowing me down, and me getting a crit on the counter. The rest of the time it was because I was lazy, and treated Fire like Iron, Thunder like Steel, and Wind like Silver, conserving uses on the "good" tomes that I'd actually use during the chapter, by not caring about arena uses of the "bad" tomes.

I might record this separately. Celice has a horse and remove, and according to the list of glitches, if he defeats Julius, it will greatly increase his losses, spoiling the rank.

Also, I love Rescue staff and dancing too much not to do a proper Endgame runthrough.

Fair enough. I guess it doesn't matter if you win, as I said, but since Fire's actually more expensive anyway (maybe it's just Elfire) I guess it doesn't matter. Plus I habitually repair everything at the start of chapters after arenas, which I guess you don't always do.

And, yeah, I'm fairly sure my calculations are correct, so exp should be fun. The thing that amuses me most is that you probably won't even need to have Corple rescue children, since he can staff spam for 100 EXP a pop anyway.

It's if a mounted unit makes the kill, right? So it shouldn't do.

Well, or an unmounted guy with Knight Ring. But dismounted Celice should work.

Oh, and why can't Corple level cap? 21 levels of Elite staff EXP is not possible in 2 chapters?

I shall try it. It will still be a separate run, just because.

Oh, Corple will cap, just not immediately after the endgame arena. It'll take maybe three more shots of Warp.

So much for anyone calling the exp requirements in any way tight. You've pretty much shown that proper arena play, Elite Ring trading, and staff spam trivializes it.

And making pretty good time besides.

He makes it look ridiculously easy, yeah, but let's not forget that's a consequence of some very deep planning and money management, and a little bit of RNG abuse to clear arenas.
