Vicious Sal
Well, I kinda have to thank you now, I managed to get one turn less now, with all the treasure. And well, Maybe Fiona would benefit. =/ Mic really shines actually, maybe i won't even give her the robe. =/ Anyway, resetting time to get that volunteer fighter in front of a house to fight. Ugh... Psych
If you really want the Speedwing and you have Heather, I'd say just steal it from a DB unit in eithe 3-7 or 3-F. Though, by then you could just wait for Part 4 once convoys merge.
Florete
If you really want the Speedwing and you have Heather, I'd say just steal it from a DB unit in eithe 3-7 or 3-F. Though, by then you could just wait for Part 4 once convoys merge. Soul has Heather. I can just as easily toss a bunch of stuff on Zihark and recruit him, though. As far as use by Mordecai goes, that means I only actually lose it for 3-4 and 3-7, and 3-7 can't be beaten any faster so the only negative there is the loss of extra Strike EXP. Of course, having Resolve for others from 3-2 would still have been nice...
Fei Mao
My turncounts are terrible. [spoiler=Draft done total turns:529] 4-P Turns:14+5=19 Base prep Bought a lot of knives, gave imbue to Tanith and gave paragon to Sothe. BEXP Sothe to 12. I hate this chapter, especially with my team composition so I had to use Naesala after retrying this fucking map 10 times without doing the penalty. Naesala moves between the three solders Sigrun and Tanith blocks the north bridge, Naesala rushes towards the boss while Sigrun stalls the east reinforcements. Sothe and Tanith stalls the bridge reinforcements. 4-1 Turns: 19 Base prep Gave Rafiel celerity. First turn Ike moves south to take out all the bulk of the enemies Ulki is placed between the two halberdiers. Rafiel is placed next the west end of the sandbag with Rhys to the right of him with Ulki above him. After that Ike moves back towards Rhys surprisingly Rhys managed to dodge most of the attacks thus making this possible. Since apparently Ulki has low vision it was difficult finding all the physic staff bishops. 4-2 Turns:15+7=22 Base prep I took the Tibarn penalty because I think it would be faster than having Tauroneo run across the map and back. Tibarn goes south, Tauroneo goes west the plan was to make them both kill as much as they can in one turn. Since there were ranged units it took longer since Tibarn has no two range. 4-3 Turns:29+4=33 Base prep Gave Micaiah Paragon and Sothe guard, gave Skimir pass, resolve, wrath, and counter. I'm just going to say I hate this chapter and good luck to those who don't flyers for this chapter. Skimir moves down and attacks as many enemies as he can without moving to the middle since the sleep staff will target him. Sothe moves his max range to the right Micaih equips restore staff and restore Sothe when he gets sleeped, Tanith moves right to lure a draco. I let Skimir get to resolve health so he can kill more even though it's more risky. Despite having two flyers this chapter I can't play aggressive because the enemies deal so much damage to my flyers. 4-4 Turns:27 Base prep Bought two chest keys. Ike moves between the two swordmasters and attack one, Ulki and Rhys moves up the ledge with Rafiel galdaring them. Ike then moves up the ledge and draws all the incomming stair enemies, after clearing the first treasure room. Ike moves towards the ledge while everyone follows. When the bulk of the reinforcements arrive I hid everyone but Ike in the top right treasure room. 4-5 Turns:4+7(Tibarn penalty)=11 Base prep Gave Tauroneo paragon. Tibarn rushes towards the place left of Izuka so he will rewarp to the top left. Tauroneo intercepts the cats and tigers. Due to his rather high magic he can tank some enemies and heal some or all of his damage taken. While his defense is quite low for his class he can gain speed faster than the other generals, though if playing efficiently your wouldn't want to bring a marshal to endgame. Tanith:Tanith is a great character, close to promotion or at a suitable level to use the master crown. Can pass over terrain, and deal great amount of damage. While she may not be like Haar in terms of durability, and damage not to mention her class's vulnerability to crossbow and arrows she has a part endgame like in one turn Denghisea which IMO makes up for it.Seraphs are a good choice for endgame. Sigrun:She's a rather underrated character by non efficiency players (or so I think) due to her growths and bases, however when she does promote she gets 26 speed which is enough to double the majority of enemies till part4 of the desert and decent damage to most enemies except generals. While she may not kill faster than Tanith having another flier is good since enemies in part 4 are supposedly considered as tier 3 enemies she can use blossom and get a decent amount exp. Rafiel:Rafiel is my preferred choice since he can galdar four people which makes up for the lack of canto in my opinion. However you don't get to use him much compared to Leanne and Reyson until late part 3 and part 4. Ulki:Ulki is amazing two levels till he can use a sign high bases, a passive ability that grants him avoid, and can damage enemies decently and build up strike rank faster. Great for part 3 and part 4 also good in endgame since he has access to laguz gem though you'll have better alternative when you get there. (Unless if you like Ulki's characteristics) Nasir:Nasir is an essential character for those who aren't using royals since gives +5 speed which is enough to double auras and spirits for some class. He also gives +5 magic for teams with mages and he can good amount of damage to spirit and auras though his accuracy against auras can be a bit uncertain. Ena:Ena despite having no offense for class due to her low strength, giving out +5 strength is essential in one turning Denghisea and finishing maps faster. Even if you were to max out her strength her offense goes from abysmal to sub par. Stefan:Stefan is a great unit though he's most preferred as a backup unit. He's only four speed away from being able to double auras by himself and he can deal good amount of damage due to his ability to double all of part 4. However since his luck is rather low it's best to use fortune on him (if you're paranoid like me) since he's facing crit rates in almost all battles, which limits his offense a bit since he can't use adept and fortune. Trueblades are a good choice to bring. Rhys:Rhys is probably the best bishop class character to use since he's assured to cap magic and resistance (which is useful for tanking spirits with provoke), good staff rank and light magic rank, and huge availability. However he's base speed is low so he get's doubled and killed by the majority of physical enemies therefore slowing the player a bit if one were to use him since you have to worry about his protection. IMO Saints are a good class to due their ability to use high end staffs and some gimmicks for one turning some maps. Oliver:Oliver is pretty much just a backup character if you somehow managed to kill off all your staff users, in my opinion he's not that bad as people say he is because his bases except speed are good and he has near maxed out weapon ranks so if Micaiah can't use Rexauara, Ashera Staff, or Matrona it gives one good incentive to use him. His offense isn't too spectacular since light magic is the weakest and he'll most likely die against every physical enemies without using Nosferatu. His biggest problem is that there are better alternatives than him since Oliver doesn't really help speed things up like the alternatives such as Laguz Royals. Vicious Sal
Well, you can't just edit and pretend it never happened. What's done is done. I redid the chapter, it isn't that i still have the icon. Furthermore, I have read the rules, and nowhere is stated that this is not allowed, and since heather was not listed on the penalty list, I could not have known it was such a heavy penalty. I find it strange that i am being penalized for this, because the rules do not provide the needed situation. Since I'm already in 2-2, and saved, I cannot restart again to reapet my first 2-1 run, where i got the icon, I'm not taking the heather penalty because I did not use heather. Junkhead
I'm not saying you take the penalty for re-doing it without getting the Icon. But it should be clear that among the things characters can't do, that they cannot visit houses.
Vicious Sal
Well, she did not when I redid the chapter, she did not even battle, so why should I have to take her penalty then? At least, that was what I understood from your earlier post. EDIT: 2-2 I tried dondon's strategy without lethe and mordecai and heather, so no secret book, I managed, two turns extra, but okay. I took the Lucia and Nealchi penalties. The start was exactly the same as Dondon, after that, Lucia kills stuff and nephenee kills stuff, one of them was always choke-blocking, while the other one stood somewhere where nea could move next to her after an attack, or after using a stone. (He used it twice, it's gone now, the first was ofc 2-P) I could have been faster because somwhere I used Nea before Lucia, who was standing where he should land, and lucia had to chip in because of that on a general, so she could not move immediately. She did however crit Maraj, so that helped. After that, nea finished of the general that was in the way by flying north of him over the cliff, stand on the arrive square, kill and take his place. Mordecai shifted so he would not attract attention, smited leanne way back, and the longbow user targeted nephenee, next turn she wrath killed him before lucia arrived. Nephenee had amazing level ups, both had + HP, + Def and + Str once, and + Speed twice. And skill and res popped in too, even mag once. So I am very happy with Nephenee for so far. Bexp from the next chapter will help her through 2-E i Hope. EDIT: Post below pointed me on smite, i added the (+3) 6/134 turns (+10) 2-3 I bought the axes and the killer lance, Nephenee will put that to good use, and danved donates his too Marcia @ 3-9 (Soldier up north). Kieran barraged throughthe army, everyone suicided into him, geoffrey was directly behind him, having only a vulnerary, shielded by the Partner units, Geoffrey got the arms scroll, 43 % chance, the horseslayer went for the partner units, tashoria did not crit. Speedwingman moved down. Geoffrey caught up, and traded his scroll for a herb, kieran could kill mr speedwing, and since his inventory was full of axes and vulneraries and a scroll, he sent it to convoy. Tyvm. After that Geoffrey seized. 7 Turns 151 Total Used Elincimend, and Leanne was epicly good. Nephenee was lv 6 or 7 after Bexp, she started raping every single unit in 2-E that dared approach her, midway through she got the drop, even more strength, to-tal ravaging. And ofcourse a lot of useful stuff was given to Brom and Mordecai and Heather and lethe, And nephenee ofcourse, mostly lances with her. That brave lance wasn't even used in 2-E. =D 15 + 5 Total amount of turns: 171 Part 2 Fin Edited February 25, 2011 by Vicious Sal

Skills: Ike - Provoke Mia - Adept Heather - Pass + Celerity. ----- Heather proved to be incredibly useful in this chapter. Not only that, but she also got to pull a few kills (including on the boss himself) while running circles around them and epicly flaming them. It should be obviously I picked Gatrie as my free, 6-Mov unit in this chapter. He helped distract and kill some enemies and flame things and get Blossom. Ike got the Master Crown. I pack Zihark with a Master Crown and the Adept scroll in his Inventory. BEXP'd Volug to 99. Skills: Micaiah - Sacrifice Sothe - Savior + Resolve Volug - Beastfoe + Paragon ----- Volug solo'd most of the North side until BK came along. Sothe solo'd the East side while carrying Micaiah. BEXP Ike to 98. Skills: Ike - Blossom Mia - Adept Heather - Pass + Imbue ----- Most boring chapter ever. Although it does serve well as training grounds for laguz that want to build up strike, or CEXP-starved people. Heather go to steal the Master Crown from Zihark and use it. Unfortunately, nub Zihark was dumb enough to suicide to a giant hawk rather than a chick with a knife. So no Adept. Janaff built his strike Exp as much as he could while avoiding some 2-range enemies that would drain the gauge fast. Skills: Geoffrey - None Astrid - Paragon + Adept ----- This chapter was such a pain. I had to rely on Geoffrey to stay alive so he could reach the boss quickly and kill him. Unit Level HP Str Mag Skl Spd Lck Def Res Support Astrid 11.85 38 19 9 20 19 23 14 18 7 turns (+3). 3-10 Battle preparations Knife forges for Heather, Wind edges for Mia. Wait until Turn 3 and let Volug lolstomp with his full transformed stats b. Use the Energy Drop I was planning to give to Sanaki and use it on Halfshift Volug I took the latter. Thanks to Sho's recommendation, I now see that Halfshift is actually pretty useful. I didn't have to go around grassing and Volug still 1RKO'd most enemies. After he SS-ranked his strike near the end, he even 1RKO'd Generals. The NPC's simply backed away. Micaiah healed Volug at times. Sothe took out enemies at the West ledges. I get the Tempest Blade as well. BEXP Volug to 99. Skills: Micaiah - None Sothe - Resolve Volug - Pass + Wrath ---- I realized I couldn't let Volug get ganegd up by felines for two reasons: 1. The lack of Resolve won't let him allow to survive more than four Tiger attacks 2. His gauge doesn't last forever So what I did was let the laguz get up the ledges. A crapton of them were out of the way, so I had Volug fight Ike. He missed on the first attack, considering he was at Worst Bio to Ike's Best, so he had 69% Hit. Ike hit Volug and had him activate Wrath, so Volug critikilled him. Florete
Not really, no. It's part of what they can't do, unless it's up to 1-5, where they can. That's...not a good rule, if you ask me, especially considering we already aren't allowed to have undrafted units find hidden items. It doesn't help with anything except avoiding unnecessary penalties. Doing 3-1 without getting anyone undrafted attacked even with Rescuing is tough, so I can't imagine how you would do it when you have 8 undrafted units running around.
Junkhead
Well, it is quite possible to avoid said penalty. I myself only needed Titania to avoid the Generals from attacking my characters. Besides, you said it yourself, I shouldn't be changing rules anymore because that would affect the people's draft choices. :(
Vicious Sal
3-1 Ugh, this is really hate hate hate. I took Titania and shinon, and this was really RNG dependable, Titania had to Kill every general and the hammer warrior and halberdier with crits, or else I would not be able to move everyone east, shinon had to crit the mages and longbow user, mist healed, killed stuff, had an amazing lv up, Ike still did not lv str, and soren leveled up amazingly too. It was just plain crap, lot's of restarting... Well, at least it's over, soren adapted his way north with Mist and Titania, shinon and NPc's killed the stuff spawning in the starting area, luckily the undraftees were long gone east. Ike went through the thicket, ettard critted at times, so he saved a turn. Well, next I can get Nephenee back, who is a really big help. 7 (+8) 3-2 Easy Peasy, Ike shoves Nephenee, she can be in boss range at turn 3, javelin crit, normal javelin, mission over next turn. 4 Turns Unit Lv Exp Hp Str Mag Skll Spd Lck Def Res Support Ike 13 69 45 24 2 30* 24 14 22 7 C Mist Mist 5 24 29 9 17 15 16 22 7 18 C Ike Soren 7 54 35 9 25 23* 19 12 10 23* Nephenee 14 36 38 22 7 26* 27* 15 22 18* 3-3 Working on it now. ;o Gatrie will also be my free unit. Mist eats the dracoshield, Soren has paragon btw, and some other skills are just smacked randomly on my units. Mist also has an Iron sword forge, max everything, and feather card. Not much else to do. This chapter wasn't really hard, Nephenee just trucked through everything, gatrie at the start, Nephenee has pass from heather since 3-2, so she could easily kill the senators, mist healed ike, who has serious Rng issues, soren just adepted his way through everything he came across, although he was nearly killed, luckily, the storm sword general missed, Ike 2-turned the both with a wind edge, while nephenee went around the fence, she had to catch up because of the thicket. Nothing special happened. Only sad part was that Soren had a + Mag only lv up, and same for nephenee with str. Oh well. 10 Turns 3-4 Ike and Mist have B Support, Bexp'd Soren to level 10, + HP, STr and SPd. And crowned him, 21 speed and max magic is good enough. Ofcourse, I switched some skills, now mist has paragon. She's Lv 6 atm, and rising. I bought some javelins and a wind edge, an elwind for Soren. At this point I don't even know how many times I may have done it. I really don't think anyone would be opposed to adding this. Even nflchamp, who opposed to the other rule switch, said he thought this was allowed. There's really no reason it shouldn't be. Not allowing it just adds unnecessary pressure on already small teams. Vicious Sal
3-4 Nothing interesting happened, Neph killed some things with ledge disadvantage, soren and neph beasted through. Mist was behind them with Ike (A support = 23 avo ) and ranulf behind them. Mist did not even need Elincia's Physic that i sent along. 9 Turns 3-5 I lolled, seriously. I just thought, let's see if soren kan OHko Lombroso, since i can't get the drop. They both have 23 speed, soren could adept, but MAX sage mag + promo gain + meteor mt x 2 (adept) - max res (16) leaves lombroso with one freaking HP. I check the stats, Soren has 5 % crit. I think everyone gets it from here. Soren OHKO's Lombroso without me needing to reset. The whole army is still there, but soren is funny, and just meteor crits Lombroso. Nephenee and mist and ike did not even get a chance to move. This saves me turns. Mist neemt secret book en ashera icon. Nephenee Bexp Def Hp en Lck. 1 Turn. 3-6 Yeah, hard mode, everyone gets 2HKO'D, Fiona, FIONA, is my tankiest unit. Sadly, she was also my character that made me restart the most. Since she had only 9 dodge, and the cats have 12 crit on average, i got RNg screwed and had to restart 13 times because of that. The rest wasn't all that hard, east side wall, bowgun Leo with beastfoe killed one beast every turn, Zihark did his job well, after he came out of his worst bio, Bk handled the north, Mic healed and even killed once every five turns, etc etc. Besides the rng crit screwage, everything went rather easy. 11 Turns Team will be editted, when I start 3-7.
