Swordsalmon
In Chapter 18, you have to keep the Lenster soldiers alive to get the Member Card. It is possible to capture and release them instead, or does the game still consider them 'killed'?
Integrity
I seem to recall hearing any time you ever catch and release it counts the same as killing, yeah?
Swordsalmon
That's what I was thinking as well; just checking for confirmation. ^_^
dondon151
No, you should be able to capture and release them while still getting the Member Card. I specifically remember watching a strategy where the player had to do that in order to prevent a couple of staff users from getting captured. Swordsalmon
You're right, Dondon; I captured and released the soldiers and still got the Member Card. Thanks. :) It's been a long time since I've played Thracia; forgot just how awful Chapter 18 is. Though having a 9 Mov Leaf makes everything considerably faster. Still took about 40 turns. :/
dondon151
Use the Sleep Sword. I got 12 turns with Xavier but no Member Card.
Swordsalmon
I went the A route, so I didn't get the Sleep Sword. I just used the Thief Staff on all of the Lenster knights (And Xavier), then just kind of ran in. :/
dondon151
If you mean the forest route, there's still 1 Sleep Sword obtainable.
Swordsalmon
I didn't go the forest route, though I really should have in hindsight. Also, I just realized I could have shaved off about ten turns if I didn't wait for the lieutenants to leave the map.
dondon151
Oh. Well, in that case, you can just Thief staff a Sleep Sword with Tina on the front gate route.
Swordsalmon
...Dangit. Oh well, it's not like the Sleep Sword is essential anyways. And it's been about... two years since I've last played Thracia. Getting forgetful about the game, here. XD
Icon of Sin
You can get Blizzards soon for the same effect at 1-10 range assuming you have a lot of A wind people. It's fun to put Elf to sleep with it and make her harmless.
Kiriane
I only count Asvel* and Sety. Who else? Yep, Blizzard is fun. *and only if you spammed his Wind magic rank
Icon of Sin
I only count Asvel* and Sety. Who else? Yep, Blizzard is fun. *and only if you spammed his Wind magic rank Without warpskipping you can build weapon ranks rather easily since this game throws a lot of reinforcements. I personally had Eyrios with A wind rank a few times. Salem has some potential too if you're into that. It's dependant on your playstyle I guess. I tend to buy a lot of Wind tomes in chapter 12. dondon151
The advantage of Sleep Swords is that you can put enemies to sleep on enemy phase counters instead of having to snipe them during player phases.
Kiriane
Ah. That explains it. I always stuck to the easily capturable Thunder. And, well, promote Asvel at level 10 and staffspam him to Rewarp...yeah.
