Metal Rabbit Posted January 19, 2008 Share Posted January 19, 2008 i've hacked FE7 using nightmare, but when i start chapter 2, my kent starts out literally next to the boss... since this is lyn's easy and there are those damn tutorials, im screwed. also, anyone with experience using this tool, can you tell me exactly what to do when trying to edit a character's class? Aurabolt Posted January 19, 2008 Share Posted January 19, 2008 My reccommendation to you is ALWAYS, ALWAYS make a copy of the ROM you're hacking and stick it somewhere for cases like this XD You mentioned you hacked its class. What class did you change Kent to? he's still a cavalier, but his time he has anima and light magic levels... i was gonna make him a mage. sain is still a cavalier, but he has axes too. (going for a figher sain) the only differences i've seen so far are the slightly higher stats for all the characters. that and the whole out of place thing. Use Chapter unit editor for Ch 1 if you want to change class Kent joins with. Rule of the thumb: If you want to change units class, always use the CUE for the chapter the unit joins in. If you want to get rid of the tutorials, either play in Hard mode or search for Fire Blazers tutorial disabler patch. Regardless, what were you editing? If you were editing the chapter/army data, you might of just fucked up the placement.
