Arch
Say hello to my newest hobby: messing around with MIDIs. Thanks to the magic of hacking, it's possible to dump MIDIs from DS and SNES games. Awesome, right? But here's the catch, the songs come out sounding awful with random instruments. Recently, I started doing some restoration on a few of my favorites songs from the Fire Emblem series. Tearing Shadows (FE12) Strike! (FE1 Battle) Off to War (FE12) The Proud Commander (FE11) Adversary (FE3 Battle) Soldiers' Daily Lives (FE12) Royal Palace of Chalphy (FE4) Intermediate Boss (FE4) Close to Defeat (FE5) Endless Battle (FE12) I dunno, they seem decent to me. Opinions? If anyone wants to use the MIDIs for hacks I'm perfectly alright with that, it isn't my music anyways :P. I'm intending to get better at this though, so hopefully I'll crank out some hack-worthy MIDIs.
ThatGuyDownTheStreet
Don't know if this is a dumb question or not, but do these need the instrument patch that Blazer made?
Arch
All MIDIs, to my knowledge, need Blazer's instrument patch (at least, I've never encountered one that doesn't).
ThatGuyDownTheStreet
Well, I guess that makes sense. I've never inserted music before so maybe I'll try one of these as a test.
Nanami Touko
Don't know if this is a dumb question or not, but do these need the instrument patch that Blazer made? You would need Blazer's music patch, or you would need knowledge of how to insert them into a table, and move instruments into their proper place.
