Ranarius Webfoot
Oh No! It's Galzus, here to kill my whole army! Lara! What are you doing? Run away! You're going to get... ... captured. Because you don't have any weapons. Ohhhhh... Wow, with all of his stats halved, he's almost... defeatable... Go Go Gadget Everybody with a ranged attack! Ta-da! Captured! Man, I sure wish I had someone to A Swords already! Oh, and hi! I'm new.
Darros
Wow. That's kind of great. Just don't free him, anf you can still get him later. And take the sword anyway. You'll want it. Welcome to SF! Enjoy your stay. Edited June 8, 2011 by Darros
Kriemhild
First, welcome to Serenes Forest. Also, congrats on capturing Galzus! I've seen this before, also involving him capturing, but it's still cool that you actually got to do it. btw I think if you RELEASE him, then it counts as him dying... Ranarius Webfoot
Oh good, all you have to do is not Free him? Great, that's what I did. The cool thing is, this technique can be used on pretty much ANY boss or even just any powerful enemy who has a melee attack. Just move someone weaponless in range, and they'll go right for the capture, utterly nerfing them! I used the same tactic to capture the boss of that chapter and get his Greatsword. Can enemies with bows capture weaponless characters? That'd be nice. It seems like kind of a cheap tactic, really. Horde of powerful enemies running your way? Put someone unarmed in the vanguard to automatically nerf one of them! I plan on only using it on bosses who have a weapon I really want. :P Edited June 7, 2011 by Ranarius Webfoot
AstraLunaSol
Yeah, it is pretty easy to capture Galzus, saw Markyjoe1990 on Youtube do it, nice job though. He used Karen instead of Lara I think.
Celice
Luckily it's not who did it that matters--it's the concept itself.
Icon of Sin
I captured Galzus with and without him rescuing people, but it's always fun to do it if only for his Master Sword. Anyway welcome.
Mekkah
Darros did you really have to quote the OP... That's pretty hilarious. With enough Fergus abuse he can actually have A swords and destroy everything with that Master Sword. Not that he couldn't already ORKO everything with like Iron but hey... TheEnd
Ah, honey traps. I think most gate bosses don't capture though.
Icon of Sin
Ah, honey traps. I think most gate bosses don't capture though. Considering they can't flee with the captured unit without leaving the gate free to seize, I'm pretty sure none of them even dare to capture one of your units. Ranarius Webfoot
I'm gonna have to test that next time I get to a chapter with a gate boss... (currently on ch.9)
Hirondelle
That's hilarious! I just finished that chapter in my playthrough number x of Thracia, glad to see someone else enjoys it.
Ranarius Webfoot
I do rather enjoy Thracia - and, after I beat it, only FE1 and A New Mystery before I've played every Fire Emblem : I'm also gonna keep two parallel savestates and go both the A and B routes, just so I can play every chapter. Then play FE6 on Hard, going the Sacae route because I went to Ilia the first time. :P Edited June 11, 2011 by Ranarius Webfoot
Roxas
Best. Introduction. Ever. Welcome to the Forest! I'm sure you'll fit in just fine here. :3 I captured Galzus with and without him rescuing people, but it's always fun to do it if only for his Master Sword. Show off. >:
Super Mecha Death Christ
Yup, sometimes the enemy is too smart for its own good.
Esaka
Quite an epic way to say hi. You have earned me respect. That's something nobody else on this forum has done, for obvious reasons.
Ranarius Webfoot
Just writing in to confirm that gate bosses do not, in fact, capture. In other news, a level 2 Lara has trouble dodging the boss of Chapter 10.
