Xander
So here's the deal: Every time I put my smash bros brawl disc in my wii it goes quiet and when I click on the channel that's supposed to show the game inserted, it says unable to read disc. At first I thought it must be that particular disc's problem. However, I bought a new disc and the same problem continues. Both discs are relatively clean with no scratches. The new one is in near perfect condition. All of my other discs work fine, but for some reason my wii won't read my brawl discs. What's the problem? shroudening
http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/systems/wii/en_na/ts/gameSSBB.jsp SSBB is a dual layered disk, if memory serves. This happened to me a few years back, and I ended up shipping my Wii to get fixed. I should also add that shipping and repair was free. And I haven't had the problem since. Joerachi
Yeah, sorry, you'll probably have to send it in. First SSBB will stop working, then everything else will stop sooner or later.
Light Lord
Send your Wii to repair, that's the safest thing to do. The other you could may be asking for the clean kit, but I don't think it's what you should do, just ship it for repair.
Zanarkin
Do they even do it for free anymore? I heard they had cancelled this a long time ago. You better check with nintendo first.
shadowofchaos
That, or get that official Nintendo Wii Lens cleaner thingy.
Xander
I heard it's ~$85 to get it repaired, and I don't have that kind of money to spend on it. So...I guess I'm screwed?

Vorena
That or try a local store. I know one near my place offers Wii repair services along with other consoles.
